Did you know they made a sneak patch to A1 this week. Alarums are now invisible to the dps. Apparently they thought the content was too easy.

One of my runs 5 wipes, all from not killing the Alarums... talk about running your head against a wall and hoping it will work.

Yup, sarcasm at its finest.

More random, yet, not really funny stories:

1) WP with a DRG. Said dude was getting close to the trash and auto-attacking most of the time. I called him out. The healer called him out later on. The guy was doing almost no-damage (Watch the emnity bars. Specially on bosses). So we didn't say anything anymore. Before the we engaged the last boss, we kicked him.

2) ANY knucklehead that comes loaded with info from Mr. Happy videos and wants to do THAT ONE STRAT that he/she learned from it. Even if it's outdated/nerfed/echo'd. No. Gotta do it EXACTLY like that one video, making things harder for everybody. I went through a lot of this while I was farming SCOB for glamour back in the day, via DF.

Tried A1 today. We wiped at Faust. I have NEVER wiped in A1N Faust before. We almost wiped the second time, then wiped twice on the Opressor before I ragequit. This was after a totally terrible A4 that wiped twice before vote abandon hit.

...I give up on DF today.

I lagged out so bad during an A1 the other day that the Oppressors were actually invisible on my screen. I could see all of the spell effects, the alarums, my teammates...but no Oppressors. They just...never reappeared after the last jump. >.> I have no explanation.

Luckily they were already almost dead by that point, heh.

Reminds me of a time I had to tank Twintania when she wasn't appearing on my screen. Oh, how fun that was. Leaving it to my group to say if she was oddly positioned or anything. lol

Was doing A3 spam for a spring. A3 hates me, had to do 12 runs this week

Anyway, Im on DRK, fairly geared (i198, full STR 190/210 right, mix of i190/200/210 left), and tank the trash like I always do (very few can pull off me when I AoE spam like that). We get to the boss, and the other DRK (mix of 190 and 200, fending and STR) starts whining, saying since he couldn't tank trash he's just going to sit and get carried.

Took a bit of time, but he got kicked, got a PLD and cleared in one shot.

Hahahah, one of my runs this week almost wiped on Faust. I seriously was almost OOM on him as WHM I was down to like 1.5K MP left, and no Shroud, Assiez, or Pot... I think that was the one that the Oppressor was around 70% when .5 came in. I was crying on the inside.

I almost gave up, took a couple days off before going back.

Had a Fractal the other day and I'm healing on SCH. Pug BLM doesn't dodge a single attack during the first boss and obviously I'm getting annoyed. I start watching them to see if they dodge anything and then I realize they are just DPSing with Fire III and Blizzard III with the occasional thunder. Lvl 60 dungeon and like I'm already annoyed because of the not dodging anything but you know, whatever, some people may not have a good feel of their job at 60 right? So I start with the basics and tell him Fire I after Fire III is better so you can get procs. And I say don't be afraid of the new skills you got getting to 60 because while it's daunting with the enochian balancing, it's actually pretty fun! He tells me he knows how to do his job and goes back to the Fire III until near out of mana then Blizz III until full on mana. I just had no words.

Then a little after that, had an Aery run as I'm leveling my tank and realize the bard is not using WM or any of his new skills. So I ask him if he doesn't like it in an attempt to get some conversation (cause wow dungeon runs are boring when no one says a thing) and it just turns out he didn't know what it was because he had lost track of where his bard quest was! I explain to him the pros and cons and tell him about all the other new skills and point him to where his new job quests are and he was happy for the advice and excited for the new skills!

So I suppose you win some, you lose some.
