The point is that there was a good balance between risk vs. reward. I don't consider it on par with something you can autobot you're way though.

If you consider i90 weaponry a valid reward for slogging through EX primals when you could already get the same thing by doing the comparatively far easier relic questline, then we're already not operating on the same pages in the first place.

Considering you didn't have to spend 3 weeks of Mythology to get those weapons they were quite worth it to folks that were gearing multiple jobs at the cap. And they're also still the pinnacle of the game's content, in my opinion, with only Final Coil really in the same league, so it was hardly a slog for me.

Pretty much exactly. How you spent your myth was up to you but this at least give people multiple options. Ravana is comparative on a much smaller scale and with no lock out applied.

It kind of sucks how it worked out but Ravana weapons are still good for alts so that we don't have to use Eso's and take away from gearing/glamouring. The real bummer is the Bis EX weapon, not worth anything. Don't think I have ever seen one even equipped on a player or used as glamour. We do need an EX primal or "something" to drop another iLv200 ring to round out our gear though

A new primal focus would be nice . I kinda enjoyed doing them for new weps. I just miss the Times when PFs were full of people asking to farm ex primals over and over again. It made the server active and fun. There's none of that right now...

Are you sure, the i90 relic weapons weren't just acquired as easy as you would believe, any competent people would set up primal quests in party finder which would generally fill up quickly with people interested in getting the weapons and ones that know what they are doing and thus NOT hard. At that point in the game most people have at best 1 and half jobs at i90 in myth gear and maybe a few pieces of i90 Allagan gear since 1-4 was starting to be farmed but still on lockout so a lot of people will NEED the myth to gear up pieces that don't drop. Spending 900 myth on the 3 thavnairian mists is nothing to just throw away when if you are gearing a job you could get a body piece with the 900 myth and then the weapon from the primal quest.

What made them even more desirable is you can pre-purchase the weapon for any job that you intend to level in future or are in the process of, the i90 relic not only do you have to wait until 50 (you would require another level 50 weapon to do the relic quest with too AND the gil to buy and meld the quest weapon, and remember i90 is max at the moment so not only are your options limited chimera,hydra and hard mode primals wern't the walk in the park they are now.

No offense dude, but you're talking to someone that did get them all back then. I think I would know how easy/difficult they are to acquire.

Not going to lie, I spent months just trying to beat Titan EX once. I'm pretty sure I had all the relics by then anyway.

I must be since I got all the primal weapons back then. The point being the people doing the hard mode primals back then are still early entry into endgame and are far more likely to wipe you on titan hard than a competent group that have cleared the EX primals many times before. But this is all spooky magic because nobody in the world can put a competent group together to clear EX primals that is more successful than a bunch of pugs trying to clear titan hard in i50 gear.

I see you cleared Ifrit EX on 11/04/2014 I cleared it a month before that (15/03/2014) so don't pretend you are talking to someone who is below you. I was massively behind the majority since I stayed back to help my friend out.

It'd be nice if primals in the same tier of content (the original trio, and ravana/bismarck) dropped the same Ilvl, but for different pieces. At least bismarck won't be sitting in the corner after being defeated once.
