SE please make stables outside of housing, don't make anymore housing units.

Use that extra memory for something other than a house, give people some options outside of housing that get left out give them something to look forward to.

How about free player apartments with a communal stable instead? One room instanced housing and stable access for everyone. Good for people who want housing when none is available, and for people who want stables but don't care about hosuing. Doubt it'll happen, but Aion did it and it seemed to work pretty well.

It really just sounds like the OP wants the benefits of housing (whether it be FC/personal) without having to own a house or be a FC member. I suggest they make some friends for 3.1 so they can leech their chocobo stables / gardens.

What else is there to spend gil on.

2 weeks ago my wife took almost all her gil and put it into a retainer. All about 100k

She keeps going between 50-300k while leveling DOH and DOL. but onces she hits 60 on everything it's just pure gil.

Then what do you spend gil on, when you have 10M +???

Or OP is trying to convince other people to not buy a house, to improve the odds that he or she will be able to get one when new plots become available ...

For me getting a house was a personal goal. I saved up my gil and worked for it to be able to buy a small house. I was so excited when a plot became available. For me, having a house is about having a space for me. A small piece of privacy in the game. Sometimes I chill with my fc at the fc house and sometimes I like to spend time at my house crafting or making changes to the house. There's nothing I can do at my house that I couldn't do at the fc house or in towns but it's just nice to have a place that's mine.

Kinda have to agree with this, essentially they're pointless yes, but that's not why I'm agreeing, I agree it's pointless because with SEs current mindset toward housing. This whole purge idea solves absolutely nothing and is basically sweeping something broken under the rug, until they implement a system where everyone can have a house, each time the plots get taken we will have to wait for them to kill all the owned plots by players who left. Not a good way to handle the system at all.

I mean the leader could lock all that from you and I don't think its right, rather have my own freedom to do that for myself than others giving me permission.

Then you need either a personal house or to find a better Free Company than the ones you've been in because there's absolutely no reason to lock people out of using the stables. The stables in my FC are open to anyone the day they join. The only things we restrict are the airship ventures, FC chest, and FC actions. The rest of the house is open to every member to use. We went to a lot of cost and trouble to furnish the house (maximum number of crafting stations, etc); actually we just recently redecorated because some people were bored with the way it looked and wanted to make some changes. It was something fun that we all got together to do; people picked furnishings they thought they'd like and I crafted the items and/or funded the project where needed.

I guess I just don't understand the tone of your post. "I don't like this so please don't add any more of it." Do you have any idea how many people are already sitting on a bunch of gil and waiting for when the idle/inactive housing is freed up? I have both an FC house and a personal house, and I've thoroughly enjoyed making my mark on both little corners of Eorzea. :3
