Any thoughts on where the other strongholds will be?

Black Shroud - Lasthold
La Noesca - Isles of Umbra

Black shroud will be off of Nine Ivies and La Nocea will be off of Iron lake . 48,40 in Thanalan fall just east of Broken Water. Too bad, I was hoping they would have implemented these in a new Area..

Popping in to clarify that the Beastman Strongholds will indeed be open world areas and not instanced.

they kind of seem...small i guess. When i thought of these of course i thought of the FFXI beastmen areas, they were pretty big, lots of detail, had quests/NMs/Missions going with them. These feel like what they look like, some chunk of thanlan closed off by some walls and a few things inside to spruce them up.

I really hope when the map redesign comes they get more elaborate separate zones.

It's their stronghold. They are not invading ours.
