Could we get any word on if this will be in the style of campaign battles or not? Thanks

someone mentioned this a few pages ago but won't everyone in the server be there and we can all kill each others mobs so like every mob will be dead all day and kinda meh? no clue to the size but i too was picturing something huge like in ffxi, davoi was huge, even the campaign battle that looked like this one was huge zone too. lets hope it's not a tiny spot where we are all inch by inch standing next to each other lmao. either way i'm still excited to see. anything new at this point is something to do.

Yes, I also mentioned that the way the regional servers work. Mobs when they pop have a grace period after they pop when they can be truly claimed. Only a few seconds. However, in congested areas this will become a problem with RMT (Depending on where they are located and how close to the servers they are) vs NA, vs EU, and especially vs JP. Claiming will be a bitch for NA or EU players when paired with JP groups.someone mentioned this a few pages ago but won't everyone in the server be there and we can all kill each others mobs so like every mob will be dead all day and kinda meh? no clue to the size but i too was picturing something huge like in ffxi, davoi was huge, even the campaign battle that looked like this one was huge zone too. lets hope it's not a tiny spot where we are all inch by inch standing next to each other lmao. either way i'm still excited to see. anything new at this point is something to do.
If the system uses a force pop on the NMs, that will be just fine though. Or perhaps in the Ul'dah stronghold's case the end all goal for that could be a fight against Ifrit. Which I strongly hope will be instanced. There are ways that these strongholds can work and still be open, but they need to be laid out a certain way in order to have equal and fair competition.

They already announced Ifrit will be instanced.Yes, I also mentioned that the way the regional servers work. Mobs when they pop have a grace period after they pop when they can be truly claimed. A lone gladithaumapugicon stands triumphant, holding his magical sword in the air to declare his victory, whilst around him lay the scattered remains of burnt lalafell.
That is really not the way regional servers work, I guess you never played FFXI. NA linkshells constantly got pulls over JP groups, and botting while a serious problem does not make legitimate pulling impossible it simply removes human error and in the case of packet sniffing software the guesswork, which is why it was cheating. I never once used a bot in XI and I got pulls over bots, even Japanese bots (even Megabot Defender of the Galaxy) constantly. We are talking about a completely different pop system too, one which had well defined windows and dozens of players all trying to get the pull for hours at a time. This game has randomized pops within small windows, it is incomparable in terms of how much of an inconvenience it would be for you not to get the pull.Yes, I also mentioned that the way the regional servers work. Still, you are greatly over exaggerating the "advantage" the JP players have due to server location.
