Looks like your eerie set is available! For cold hard cash though... and people complain about the Blizzard store - at least ALL previous seasonal items are available every year from the holiday vendors for event currency.
Are you serious? Yes, SE should be looking at Blizzard's might standards! Recycled events year in and year out with the occasional new reward every few years, RNG on mounts that drop in the event, meaning if you don't get it you have to try again next year (people have been trying for several years now), every cool new mount is on the cash shop without exception. smh
lol... are you seriously defending the item shop for a P2P MMO? I'm not sure how creating a couple of quests that take, what, an hour? tops? that suddenly justifies selling old event items for $$$ over allowing you to purchase them in game with event currency or even as RNG drops during the event? Please. I like SE and I enjoy FF14 - but the way they handle previous event items is not something I like. All I know is...if the tradeable eastern cherry trees show up in the shop for $$$ next year I think more people than just me will start flipping tables. Are you serious? Better start flipping then since it seems the cash shops here to stay and it's not hurting anyone so mehlol... are you seriously defending the item shop for a P2P MMO? A cashshop in a P2P game hurts everyone, people need to stop being so dilusional. Those minions and that mount in the cash shop could have been rewards for idk, playing the game? Not sure about everyone else, but I for one chose a P2P model so i wouldn't get charged for such things. Each person that spends money in the cashshop is just encouraging such behavior.![]()
This is miss informed. Content developed for the cash shop is developed with the assumption that it will provide a return on investment. The cost of resources spent on the content are factored into its projected profits. Simply put, cash shop items generally would never have been developed in the first place without the cash shop as SE wouldn't have been spending the resources on them.A cashshop in a P2P game hurts everyone, people need to stop being so dilusional. Its also worth noting that this factors into the available resources the game has to develop new content, both in the cash shop and not. The EU servers were partially funded from cash shop profits. All those things people keep wanting from SE that require resources need to be funded from somewhere. The cash shop opens a revenue source that doesn't require changes to subscription costs.
Now there is an argument to saying event items shouldn't be included. That's fine. That ties into a somewhat different issue about how such items should be available and wether there should be exclusive events at all. After all offering old stuff at new events won't really do much for veteran players who already have the items and they generally are the ones most short on things to do. Additionally there are many players who like having some exclusiveness to the items they have. They can argue that they did pay for those items by being subbed when the event was on. It was their sub fees that payed for the development of those items.
I'm not arguing one way or the other about the event items as it makes little difference to me. I'm merely pointing out an alternate argument. Likewise, I wouldn't argue that cash shops are always ok and I do understand concerns about the event items being in the cash shops. However I would say that Cash Shops aren't by their nature in a P2P game a bad thing as long as they are handled correctly and that the reason that event items were added was because people asked for a way to get them even if it meant them being in the Cash Shop. There were posts on this very forum to that effect.
No. I'm not defending it at all, just pointing out how ridiculous and uninformed your post was which seemed to make claims that the Blizzard store is better than FFXIV's store, which is entirely untrue.lol... are you seriously defending the item shop for a P2P MMO? Do the events and you don't need the cash shoplol... are you seriously defending the item shop for a P2P MMO?
