If you ask me, though, it was the first event after Heavensward, and I'm guessing that had something to do with their decision to let the older gear stay one more time.
Was that the first WoW mount with limited time duration on it? Or was there any other precedence to it? Do mounts in WoW have different stats/speeds?
As long as it's given to us as a mount (which I deem to be a fairly reasonable assumption), it should follow the same rules as all other flight-worthy mounts. Because unless there's something really special with it, like being a faster mount or something, there's no reason to have a timer on it. It'd just be one more flying mount ^^;
