Game freezes with a stuttering sound periodically

Make sure you're disabling it every time you relaunch FFXIV, but yeah this is a crazy inconvenience and i've yet to find a permanent solution.

I did, and by disabling it via BIOS windows don't even detect the sound driver, as if I had no sound card.

Have either of you tried turning off power saving for your pci-e hardware? I had similar issues a few months back with my Radeon 7870, and disabling the power save mode fixed the issue for me. Some one else mentioned it on the first page too.
