that trial was never really relevent ^^;; It just a harder version of the fight. It is fun though you can undersize it, the trial fight from yoshida-san's ingame character is just the second half of the fight just with more mechanics it is worth doing on a random day, as its hilarious as it was presented.

No, the cause of that drop was turning most of the current expansion into a Facebook game - and a bad one, at that.

All of us have had to gear up enough to unlock Alex and other content, what is the big deal?
And why have you not yet cleared Ultima? Can it not be done in a undersized party, meaning as an option? It would be very easy to clear it even with just a few people.

Edit: just read that you got all the stuff cleared up but for real just go in as undersized party and clear Ultima, very fun fight but very easy

I tried to 2 man it with a bard and a whm. It was hilarious. It didn't work well and we couldn't clear it, but it was fun.

At some point they are going to have to unlock HW. Even if they make 4.00 non linear, all the class quests are locked out due to HW. Even if they allow you to skip 10 levels of progressive class the actions are reward for the quests so as an example, my Whm won't get Stone III unless I unlock HW.

It's just a matter of when will they give up the idea they can use this as a suitable throttle mechanic.

They won't do away with the MSQ gated entrance to HW content and neither should they in my opinion. It has stopped RMT bot armies infesting HW zones and it's existence makes sense from a story perspective, any future content will continue from HW but won't require completion of HW content to access I believe is what they mean, not that all future content can be done without even having HW or without gaining access to it via completion of those ARR MSQ's. It is possible I could be wrong but it is unlikely that I am since logically what I said makes the most sense. They might streamline the MSQ but they will not do away with the need to complete certain trials and quests within it which are highly relevant to the story and prevent RMT bots from infecting HW and by proxy other future zones.

Another thing people seem to have missed...he didn't say he couldn't beat it...he said the que time takes forever and that basically people do not que for it...which is true it took me 3 days to get a que for that dungeon.

I thought the same until I actually took the time to look at the process and I can assure you, the mythical bot armies are not obsolete because of a quest train, organized RMT would easily steamroll. Do you think RMT circuits sit in DF for half an hr trying to clear MSQ trials? Or that they pain over what to keep and what to convert to seals because it's useless level 50 trash rewards? They don't care. The sooner they get me in to HW, the sooner I stop working on 7 alts to avoid the MSQ grind. Though to be honest it might be too late. I've already decided they are all getting leveled and I'm not the only one leveling alts. People are realizing there is no demand for more than one capped class DoW/ DoM per character and it's better to have alts.
