The Flaw With Dyes. Please Fix.

I don't understand why when you dye a piece of armour or clothing, almost every piece of armour or clothing turns out to be two-tone? For instance, I wanted to dye a piece of clothing with the jet black dye and when I did so, the article in question was not only dyed the jet black, but also parts of the article turned gray. If you are using dyes, should the entire piece of armour or clothing be 100% the colour that you used?

I would like to ask SE to correct this so that when you dye something it should be completely coloured the same colour and not be two-tone.

I'm pretty sure this is intentional.

Better than if I use a dye like, blue, and the secondary color is say.... bright ugly green, the green doesn't change at all (sort of like 2.x gear).
At least this way it's looks better on the eyes...

That actually makes things far worse to have it be all-or-nothing, in most cases. There's a number of equips that sport multiple colors, like

To have it be one solid color would result in something rather ridiculous and very bland. If anything, you'd ideally want a system that lets you apply multiple dyes to areas you can freely choose, but that's WAY too complex and demanding of a system for this game. Having an option to go all in though, that'd be interesting. Just not a default lol.

If anything they need to make the separate parts of gear dyeable like AskaRay was referring to. Kinda like the red on the Kirimu Coat. This would be so much nicer if we could dye each part.

It's the same as highlights for hair. It's not that difficult to implement.

Then implement it and send it off to SE for them.

Sort of. We don't actually get to pick where highlights go though. How the highlights work now is more akin to how dyes work right now. It's far more complex to program in free reign of recoloring than to have it be preset, albeit not any more difficult than other things.

Yeah that's true. I guess they could do it eventually. Would be a nice feature
