    The only difference is that it would be easier to make gil because you'd have less stuff sitting on the MB unsold because it's the wrong grade.

With Carbonized Matter, you need a higher level to gather the higher grades, and Dark Matter costs more for the higher grades, so there's at least some purpose for getting the simpler/cheaper variants when they're as much as you need.
    Which is also why I said I wouldn't really mind if they made the lower grade prisms cheaper to craft (i.e. requiring less mats). But yeah, most likely you'd see less of the lower grades, maybe even none of them once people's stash of those ran out. But it's also a less intrusive way (IMO) of 'removing the grades', since it doesn't mean removing items from the game, only 'buffing' the items to enable people to ignore the grades if they want to.

    We pretty much do the same ^^; Of course, around 75% of our members have crafters at 50, so we just keep the FC chest stocked up with clear prisms of all grades, plus one stack of each extra material they use (velveteen, ingots, those things), so when you need a prism you just grab the mats from the chest and make it. And for those without lvl50 crafters, it's pretty easy to ask if someone can make one. 'course, we're a small and close-knit FC, and it usually evens out with who uses the mats and who refills them, but I can imagine that the larger the FC is, the more difficult it would be to make sure that you don't have someone who uses up a lot more prism mats than they refill ^^;

    Which is true, but certain prisms are in much higher demand, and once the prices go up due to lack of MB listings, not many crafters lower the prices once they realize that "hey, people actually do pay 8k or more for this prism! If I set mine at 7.5k, I'll sell a ton of them! So much better than 3k for this other grade!" *shrugs* It's most noticable around events, when new level 1 gear gets released. The price of grade 1 prisms of the appropriate craft type goes skyhigh within hours and usually stays high for the rest of the event and a short while after before slowly going back to "normal" price levels =/

    Just because they can be made just as easily doesn't mean the demand for each is equal, and the higher demand on something, the higher you can price it when you put it up. And as long as they still sell, the prices aren't likely to go down either.

    I think the entire system is over done and stupid. Changing appearance of your gear should be done from a menu like they do it DC Universe Online. Collect different styles of gear and apply them to what ever your actually wearing. Changing the color should be just as simple.
    I guess that wouldn't work here since glamour gear is the only real objective of all the content. Having such an annoying system to change apperance is part of the gameplay.

    If the gameplay revolves around an annoying system like that, then that's a sign that something needs to be fixed.
