Are the RMT making a run on the market?

Wouldn't be suprised if a player running script bots is doing this. They were hunting monsters & running dungeons in the past.

There's a rotation of crystal farming bots on Lamia, been here since I returned to the game farming daily... been 2 months without action.

I don't know about all that but I do know RMT use the mb to buy Gil more now. Over the past few weeks I've noticed skill speed iv and a couple other IVs getting bought by obvious RMT characters for 4mil+ a pop when there's several posted far, far lower

A lot of this could be attributed to people in large FC's who can't rely on FC chests, moving stuff and Gil between alts as well. When as you have noticed, the history is all over the place in rates it is people targeting retainers, not demand.

As for the question at hand, OP. I have and do crash markets if I feel there is gouging going on and I do it in waves so the markets do climb, then plummet when I see fit to dump a batch of what ever on the MB.

Just kinda weird that a UN pronounable character name that looks exactly like the Gil seller names would buy the highest priced grade iv materia over all the 20k ones

Certain items are in high demand on weekends and supply overtakes demand slowly from Mon->Thursday. Buy out the market (to a point) on Thursday. Relist at the higher price on Friday. Profit. And technically everyone wins. The people listing it at a lower price make gil (they did list it at that lower price after all) and the people taking the risk that the market will stay up long enough to make a profit also win. And those smart enough to not buy that stuff on a weekend win by not buying it until Thursday :P
