Nothing pertinent to any heated debates about dungeon mechanics here, just a veryveryvery minor rant.

Queued up for Sastasha with two people from my FC so I could start getting the hang of PGL and the stranger we're put with (the healer) is new to the dungeon. I ask them as much, they say yes, I welcome them and say they should ask any of us if they have any questions.

Them, in response to this: "ive played lots of mmos lol"

The run is baby bottom smooth, boss goes down easy and we celebrate accordingly. I tell the new person they did a good job, one FC friend says "comms for (this person) " and we are all just having a ~good time~.

Them: "ive played lots of mmos im not new to this just to ffxiv"

Is the general MMO community so mired in negativity that people just automatically assume that every rando they queue up with is an asshole? Like damn, dude, I understand you might be a level 99999 priest in WoW but we're not trying to demean you, we're just being friendly.
