I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
I'm always told my DPS was low since before Heavensward. With all the current DPS checks, it's worse now. Sadly, I no longer raid (and don't want to), so I'm a casual DPS now and I like it this way. Kinda funny. So, there’s this guy I know on my server who is really fond of using parser addons to view everyone’s dps output. The other day he contacted me and said that he was going to train me because I made some bad mistakes as a bard.
This actually broke my heart a bit. I’d managed to get to level 60 in game, with an ilvl of 191 and I’ve just been put off doing anything with bard again because of this guy’s attitude. He made it seem like I’d committed some cardinal sin because my DPS was too low and I didn’t have a fixed rotation (it differs depending on the situation so its not fixed like most people probably keep too.)
So, reason to the thread... I've gotta ask the community this: Have you ever come across people like this?

My husband is dealing with people like this in every other dungeon he runs lately. He always played a tank and his main job is a tank but he wanted to level a blm for fun. He doesn't raid with it he just likes to play it when taking breaks from tanking. He's been called out for not using the "proper" rotation and he has been called "the worst blm ever" etc...
If you are raiding (AS type content) I can see where people might expect a certain amount of dps, healing output, tanking etc..however, when running random dungeons and lower level raids it shouldn't even be brought up.
Yes, it should. Everyone is expected to carry their own weight, if someone doesn't out of sheer laziness he has no place in party-based content.
Arrived on 60 without any help, trainers would take all the fun from the game imo
Hey OP, did the bad man look like...
You should just ignore him. He's scary, and he might touch you with greasy potato chip hands.
The title of this thread makes me miss the days when you'd pull half the zone to the entrance of Selbina trying to run from an initial goblin and leave a giant death blob there.
It has to be bad for people to make comments like this though. I am on my 3rd class leveling up and I have never seen anyone get chastised for their DPS #'s and I see some of them doing less than half the DPS of others of the same level. He must be doing extremely bad DPS and you can't blame people for being upset if they are effectively fully carrying someone. He needs to do some research/practice on his class if that is what is going on.
