3.1 needs to be absolutely great

3.2 is the PvP patch that's what i'm really hyped for just wish we had more BGs, and seasonal rewards. 3.1 will be interesting I just hope it'll keep me interested until 3.2 I love this game and the people I play with but it does indeed have flaws in it. There's not a perfect game on the market, if there was the whole world would be playing it.

Can you think of a vertical progression game that doesn't do this?

FFXI did this properly imo. I was able to use my Aegis all the way to level cap and updates were consistently added to keep the relic weapons relevant and awesome. Too bad the devs seem so keen on undermining the torturous grind they put us through.

FFXI uses horizontal progression, not vertical. Even at the times it did use vertical (Abyssea level cap increases, introduction of the iLevel) it still eventually went back to horizontal over time.

When you expect time A to B for something to be released, you needlessly wasting time thinking about something that is yet to exist. Just let it come when it does, no need to wait for it. It will come when the time comes for it. It makes life easier that way, so that you can focus on what's actually in front of you. Instead of having to worry about being 'disappointed' about something after months of waiting.

That's fine and all but I am sure others feel differently because they are investing time and money in something and if they feel its not worth it...well, then there's gonna be problems ^^;

That is true... but one can never fully be satisfied. True you are investing time and money into this game, you are sure to have some level of expectation for the next. But I would still say it's just simply needless to waste energy at this point.
