What I did learn from your post is the sharing with friends part. Something that i might have forgotten over the years. I've stop being generous after crafting over 2xx items free for people back in 2.1 days using my own gil savings. From experience, being too generous sometime has its pros and cons, unfortunately... But a friend recently came back to game after recovering from rl health issue. I just went to the board and grab an overpriced Kingly Whisker and made something for him. The chase for name, fame, glamor, fortune is sometime useless if you forgot the people around you.Grats on all that gil totally jelly! I don't ever get past 3m because I just give it away to my friends, i'v no use for it and it makes them happy lol.
And lol at the people saying your a no lifer, when I see people with tons of in game money my 1st thought isn't a basement dweller but someone who works with numbers in real life xP
Agree with you. Raiders, crafters, role players all have their own version of end game. How they do it is entirely up to these individuals. I was surprised and happy in a way some of the regulars who request craft from me are actually husband and wife. From conversation i could understand majority are working to support their own rl expenses and game monthly subscription. Many definition from all walks of life about how gamers should be. For me personally, as long a person is capable to fund the place he/she stays, the car they drive, the food on the table, and the lifestyle they chooses, there is nothing much other can say that will make a dent to their lifestyle. We do not live in the fictional world that some ppl took 2 seconds to create. They dont pay our bills, we do ^^Congrats. Thanks for sharing with us. You inspire me to get the moonies. ;3; Love the moonies...touch the moonies...drool over the moonies...
It's funny, raiders have the same "rep". It doesn't matter if we are casual or hardcore raiders, apparently none of us are capable of putting a block of time aside to raid AND have a job and a life.
In reality it's all a matter of scheduling, nothing more. Everyone in my raid group have full time jobs. My raid leader is extremely smart - a pharmacist. Both our BLM and BRD have wives, one of them has three kids. In fact, one of his kids is in our raid group. I work, take care of my grandmother, tend a wonderful garden in my backyard and enjoy the company of friends.
Not sure why the no-lifer thing became widespread.
You have to win him in 5 arm wrestling match and get 20 undefeated and chain win streak with Godbert in tripple triad. Then you need to race him in Thanalan desert near Forgoten Spring and use that small hammer to see who can bash swing that chimera to the furthest point. Then there is 2.5% RNg that he might be your retainer. If not, repeat the above until you hear the message "Godbert Get!" and check your inventory bag.first, a small /rant... crafting... high-end items that are crafted are SO expensive. and i understand why. but the problem is that, if you can afford this item... then you either saved up for like forever, or can actually craft it yourself.
any how, /ranting aside... how do you get Godbert as your retainer?
P.S. money ain't worth a thing, unless you spend it. so please don't horde your gil, and go spend it. ^_^
Okay joke aside, as Mizore_canaan said, pick a male highlander, and picture his face when you customize. The final touch would be "The emperor's clothes" Godbert believes he is wearing a magical clothes that only ppl with 200 IQ will be able to see. I will be honest to say till today i still dont see anything.
lol! i see, so just a look-a-like then. that makes sense. alrighty then, thank you both very much. ^_^
the picture has been analyzed it seems the pixels of the number 9 do not match with the other nines as seen here
and
here you can see that the numbers are unevenly placed side by side and not in a straight line
So there for we can say its most likely photoshoped unless there is evidence to proof this claim wrong
