Grinds in MMOs are what make money. If you don't want to grind, this is the wrong genre for you.Im expecting.
-Boring ass 50 minutes log drama inducing raid.
-Terribly unplayable lord of vermillion that will need maintenances, several hot-fixes and will be a grindfest (as anything in this game tbh).
-Green gatherer/crafter scrips for even more fun. New moonstones II and impossible to make needing gazillions in gear and totally omnicrafting dependant specialist actions that will make the few standing crafters leave.
-More booring, repetitive, coma inducing beast tribe quests dependent on FATE spawn.
-More relic, thats bad enough as it is.
Time lockouts, grind, weekly caps, grind, RNG, RNG, and spice it up with some grind.
I dont mind grind for gear progression.
But grind for side activities such as chocobo racing?
ROFL.
And honestly, no, GW2 is making quite fine and isn`t a grindfest (tho, dat legendaries), and there are a lot more examples coming from the east. That you are used to something doesn`t mind it cant be the other way or that is better. There is no need to have grind in literally every single piece of content they release. Or some form of RNG on absolutely everything. Im not telling XIV needs to become a carebear game where everything is granted day 1, like, gimme gimme. But seriously needs to tone the grind down quite a bit. Is actually, hurting the game more than helping to its logevity. As a testament to this, the ammount of dead content is staggering, and probably, reducing the grind on it, would help a lot...
