The simple reason people continue to fail the extreme primals as of late because the new players who never did it and the older players who never could do it think that somehow they can magically beat all the extremes through beating it overgeared and unsynced without bothering to learn the fights.
Also in regards to plumes.Except for the last phase on titan extreme always stack together.makes it easier to dodge them as a groups as opposed to having them all over the platform and getting in peoples way.

I'm a new player trying to get through Garuda. It's been frustrating. I know all the mechanics like the back of my hand, but I keep getting with parties that have no idea what they're doing. ("No! Not the Spiny Plume!" wipes again) I've attempted to get through Garuda all week to no avail. I may try it unsynced and see if that helps.

Either that or actually find a group to stick with long-term. I'm pretty stuck in "solo" mode for 99% of the game, so I haven't done much to find a consistent group. I can't imagine even attempting the Coils of Bahamut with Duty Finder.

Ramuh is the one I've been having trouble with. Between groups and RNG I keep seeing whistles slip juuuuust by me.

In unsynced you can ignore the mechanics and burn burn burn within 3 minutes. It's a beautiful thing. A competent healer can solo heal it.

This has been a problem in a lot of dungeons since 3.0 came out, actually.

When I first started heavensward, I didn't notice much of a difference in the new dungeons/raids/trials, but the moment I went back to run older content I was like, "What the hell happened??" Suddenly I had healers who couldn't keep me alive on basic pulls and Dps who were so slow it was taking near 30 minutes to run a dungeon that I used to speed pull with PUGs in 15. Then I realized... noobs.

The reason the HW content was going (semi) smoothly was because the people in HW were the same people who were running old content with me back before expansion, but all the old stuff is now populated with people who can't run HW yet because they haven't cleared the old stuff, and they suck. I wish there was a more graceful way of saying that, but it's true. They suck. Especially the ones who power leveled to 50 using FATES or some other method. They don't know their rotations or how to do their jobs, so when they have to run a dungeon that's not pure easy street things fall apart.

The first wave of these people have already hit HW, and when I saw them I was like, oh God... they're here...

I never found Titan to be that difficult, myself. The hardest part was finding 7 other players who weren't doing their best to imitate a quacking duck. That being said, there are certain fights that can still wipe a team REGARDLESS of unsync, and Titan is one of them.

Most unsync parties are all: "BURN BURN BURN!!!! F*** THE MECHANICS! BURN!!!" That's why a lot of noobs sign up for unsync'd parties. They think they can just skip the mechs and get an easy win. The thing is, you can't ignore a Landslide (well, maybe a PLD can every minute or so, but still), or the T9 debuffs/divebombs. These are make or break mechs that will wipe a player, or the team, if you think you can just unsync and somehow be immune.

I hated Divebombs in T9, myself. I don't think I've ever met a player who liked them, but this unsync'd fiasco has made me glad they exist. There are some fights that I don't think you should be able to just sidestep without any skill. The original players who ran those raids/trials didn't even have echo to fall back on. It's a little insulting to see noobs think they are somehow entitled to an insta clear because they have some fancy gear. It also cultivates a bad attitude in those players. They roll into HW thinking they're gonna do the same thing, that fights will just fall apart in front of them, and then they can't figure out why they keep wiping their group over and over and over.

I like unsync'd runs. I want them to stay, but I am glad that certain bosses like Titan or T9-T13 are still gateway bosses that cock block the noob train. Personally, I don't think they should allow unsync'd parties until after you've already cleared once. That way, the noobs will have had to put the effort in at least once and won't go into Bis Ex thinking they can just faceroll over him.

Titan unsync can cause major issues.A lot of Dps not realising how little hp the gaol has and accidently breaking it and getting healer hit with landslide.Seen this happen so many times.
Ifrit Unsync has the issue if you do too much dps you skip a phase which leads to instant wipe.
Leviathan has a similar issue that you move to phases too fast from high dps and the generator doesn't recharge in time.
Garuda unsynced on the other hand can be done in 3 mins ignoring some mechanics even with a team that consists of 1 healer and 7 tanks.

Also with Ramuh unsynced there is the potential to accidentally push the add phase too fast especially when tanking him as Warrior. The more damage he takes during add phase the short the add phase becomes meaning you might not get time to kill all the adds.

I've seen all of these phase pushes first hand. I usually run as my PLD, and in ever single case I was forced to completely STOP Dps'ing at one point or another to avoid pushing phases, because I was dropping boss Hp to within 1% of phase change by myself.

Sometimes, Level sync almost causes too much trouble to be bothered. It's helpful, for sure, when you have noobs in the group who don't know how to output their maximum Dps, but when you have a full pre-made with vets who have all cleared the content the hard way, it's almost better to just run sync'd so you can avoid getting insta-wiped by phase changes. It's not like they're long fights to begin with. Titan ex could be cleared in 5 minutes before HW came out.
