According to a GM, selling a house is actually an actionable offense.
I guess the rules are, if you wanna give up your house, you're not getting anything out of it.

That is an isolated incident that for all appearances is miscommunication at its finest. I'd take this with a grain of salt until confirmed by an official response through these forums or through a support ticket, because selling relinquishment rights is not in violation of the Terms of Service. It doesn't involve RMT.

This is also different than what Sirren is suggesting, which would involve them selling the house and the plot instead of just the relinquishment rights. Though I can see a lot of corruption happening through this, I think if they limited homes to one per server, they might be able to stop people from becoming realtors that buy up properties and then sell them at a premium. Even then, with the lack of housing on some servers, this could still be done. It's a nice idea, but they need to address housing shortages before anything else can properly be looked into and that would likely involve them reworking it entirely. That seems unlikely, sadly.
