Honestly you have to work for what you want- that's how MMORPGs work. If you don't want to work to buy your own house or find an FC you want to join, you really are playing the wrong type of game.

I don't understand why people always jump to these conclusions and think that they could make those kinds of snap judgements. Lots of FCs right now are homeless, either because lack of funds or having the bad luck of joining the game after all the plots had become occupied.

I was telling a friend how great it would be to be able to rent stalls from the cities' stables (because what else is their purpose; they're freaking stables you can't interact with). We do have access to inn rooms, so why can't we grow our own foods for our chocobos? Even in FFXI you were able to grow plants. I honestly don't think it's very fair to force such unreasonable restrictions on something like caring for the very companion you work hard to obtain and raise.

If there were anything close to a reasonable amount of housing for the demand, he might have a point, but there is not. What if you are the leader of an FC that literally cannot get a house right now? Should you disband?

The housing situation is ridiculous and a bit of compassion for the players affected is called for.

I agree - housing should be a top priority as it is a bit of a mess right now, which is sad because it is a really fun casual oriented part of the game. All I can say is to people looking for a house, be persistent in looking for plots that open up due to transfers. I looked religiously 4-6 times a day at EACH housing district for weeks and last night on my server (Behemoth) a medium plot was open in the Mists - needless to say I frantically raced to my retainer for gil and then quickly made my way to the plot to snag it. Now my GF and I just need 3.1 to hit for shared housing...
