even though i played ffxi on ps2 ..and i played like all day and nite ..like every day from day one till 5years later. i still kinda agree with op in the consept though, it might not be for just ps3 but in general, this game is starting to get agrovating with all the ups and downs in changes that keep making me think they fixing for the good, then fix for the worst again. being able to do 99 leves in 12.5days? ...i thought party grinds were back in play. it's been a ok maybe a player like me can enjoy this game, then it's frak i hope i'm not waisted a year of my life>< i understand the casual and solo is gonna be in game but how much and even more how little will the party and challenging stuff be in game is the questions.

not all console are gonna be casual, but i bet alot of them, ...ps3 horrible to play mmo on, my ps2 broke like 10times, my hdd broke, at the end i was using a ps2 t is hat didn't read disks anymore either lol. ...but i kept my ps2 running like all day and nite, but lol my ps3 broke playing ff13 after only 6months of owning it and barely using it to begin with. playing all day on it will be expensive >< lol. better off using the 160bucks u pay to fix them from sony and think ahead and buy a cheap mid pc. least ps2 they was fixing it for only 25bucks or even free at times for me, outside of shipping. ..16bucks then.

Yeah i played FFXI on PS2 an PC and i played the game alot for the most part never had a diiferent view on the game with either, i just liked the PC version better because of the graphics.

Personally when I get the game for PS3 I will play it on there over my PC. Even though I can run this game on Highest settings on my PC and the PS3 will only get 720p doesn't bother me one bit. Currently I don't even have 1080p TV and play most games on 720p and they looks absolutely amazing. Even when I turn this game down to low settings and a lower resolution this game still looks amazing. The 720p on the PS3 isn't going to be that big of a difference unless you are just a graphic buff like some. Most people who buy the game for PS3 are going to be blown away because it is the best looking MMORPG on the market and will be the best looking by far MMO on console.

YAY FOR NOT HAVING TO LOG IN EVERY DAY JUST TO MAKE SURE YOU MAXIMIZE YOUR WEEKLY SP GAINS!

pure ignorant statement. no matter what changes they make you will always get more sp if you play everyday. you may mean if you only run leves only and don't have to pick them up, but that is still not maximizing your sp. if you do all your leves then kill one mob you get more sp so you were not at max.
