At least I know when it does que up that I'll have like minded people to do the story along with me /sigh. It is a problem for "both" sides, a problem that may never see a solution to in the DF. That doesn't mean I should sit back and just let it happen. /shrug

They need to remove the main scenerio roulette. People are not going to wait each day they run them for new people to watch the cutscenes. I understand your desire to see them but it's a bit unreasonable to expect people who do these daily to wait a half hour or so for cutscenes. It's just not going to happen. You can say they should but really if you think about it that is asking a lot for people to do on a daily basis. Personally if I had to do that daily I'd stop doing the roulette. I've certainly participated in FC excursions where new players wanted to watch and was happy to.

Yeah, for class quests. All Dungeon Cutscenes can be fully viewed in the book. Especially 2.0 Cutscenes.

I understand that side of the argument wholeheartedly "Not new people would be force to wait". In the case Why not offer more poetics for the time spent waiting? It is outdated stuff after all, so whats the harm? Making it so if a new person is new to the dungeon offer 200-300 more Poetics for the time spent waiting. Or give both that and 20k gil something along those lines. Another words make it worth the dungeon and the wait for new players.

This has been said a lot. It stinks, yeah, but your only other option is to go in with a premade party. I've been doing the same thing as you, leveling an alternate character to see what it's like. Fortunately, I'm a tank, so I don't think the group I end up with will have much choice in the matter.

For every other role...queue up with friends that are tanks or healers so that you can control the flow of the duty. Otherwise, people will rush ahead.

I mean, don't you see that this will never end? Personally, you could tell me I would get 2000 poetics for a run of CM and watching the cutscenes and I still wouldn't queue. I have 8 digits Gil, 20k is less than pocket change to me. I would go so far as to say nothing, save from helping a friend or god forbid they route some kind of progression gear through there, would ever make me go back willingly. And then if you do inflate the rewards like that, you'll have people who do want those rewards and then berate people if they don't watch cutscenes.

This is lose-lose. It always has been. I really do have sympathy for the players who are forced to skip the CS, but the simple fact of the matter is SE should have never put integral story CS in repeatable dungeons that were farmed ad nauseum for endgame currency. Even I think if it was just Praetorium then it would have been alot better and we wouldn't see so much of this forcing. Those CS were actually important to the story.

CM is a f***ing joke. There is like 5 cutscenes just of watch towers being destroyed. Please explain to me why this was necessary and deemed CS worthy as plot developing tools? Not you, Starlord YOU, SE >.>;

OP, the cutscenes in CM and Prae are 20min long. Some people run Main Scenario Roulette everyday as it's nearly 200k EXP, which is quite a lot when you're trying to level an alt job.

People are simply not going to wait and extra 20 minutes for one person to watch cutscenes in the duty finder. 90% of the people in the runs have done it at least once before. They are either there to get a TT card (Prae drops a 5* card) or get their daily EXP.

As pointed out previously, you can make a Party Finder, Undersize it, or get friends to go with you. If you want to participate in all of the fights and watch all of the cutscenes, I'm afraid you're going to have to find an alternative way to do the run other than the DF. The other people in the party are simply not going to wait an extra 20 minutes for one or two people.

[EDIT] They never have and they never will, honestly. I started playing in 2.1 and I had to skip all my Prae and CM cutscenes 'cause my party wouldn't wait for me. Not that I personally minded, I got to watch them in the inn room later with a hot cup of coco. I found it much better that way.

Sorry? Yes I have every right to complain about something I am paying for. I am playing the game for it's story and being involved in the story. I know things probably won't change because of what I am saying. I will however voice my opinion.

As are the 7 other people who are paying and don't want to watch the same video every time they run the dungeon or stand around waiting. You can try asking but that dungeon already takes a fair amount of time which is why I stopped doing it. Mixed with the cutscenes that make it almost twice as long, get some friends to run through it with ya or go to the Inn. Your not going to force people to wait for you.
