new player, old PS3 softwear, and mog sataion accounts

its a complicated story so ill try to shorten it down as much as i can
i use to play FF14 on my PS3. as soon as i could, i upgraded my account to the PS4 version and have been playing on that ever since.
lately, the BF has been wanting to make his own account (on the PS3) so we could play together. I think i have to buy a new PS3 copy of the game for him to play too, and this is where i get confused...

i tried logging into the PS3 version for fun, but didnt see anything on setting up a new account. I remember i was prompted to set up a new account when i popped the disc into the PS3 for the first time. but the FF14 software is already on that system.

So... how would i go about making a new ff14 account for him to play on a system that already has the game installed?
and... is there a way i can tie his new account into my current mog station? (just so we can use the 1 credit card to pay for both)

So would i pop the new disk into the ps3, or buy a digital copy from the ps store, and hope it prompts me to make a new account? Or would i go to the FF14/ mog station web site and make a new account from there?

Could i just delete FF14 off of the ps3 and start from scratch?
