This sounds good but is hard work, I'm sure they will add as much content and jobs as humanly possible though. When you say end of series, I am expecting the series to go some more decades and also get a next gen mmo to follow after xiv, that is my optimistic view for the future.

Personally I never am going to complain about new jobs....ever. More variety is always nice.

Indeed. Every class/Job/Extra Job has to have a selection of abilities that make it at least a little unique against the existing roster. Then they have to be balanced against the existing roster so that it doesn't shine over the other classes/Jobs/Extra Jobs or come up short against them. Then there's the PvP balancing, it being a thing you know. Then there's the gear design. The weapons have to be at least somewhat original for the game, though there's possible shortcuts depending on the weapon type (Dark Knight reused a fair amount of gladiator sword designs, just scaled up). Armor can be given a pass, again, depending on how much it falls into existing categories, though AF would definitely need to be made from scratch. That's alot of work by itself, and that's just for one class/Job/Extra Job.

Some people don't quite understand the longevity of the name. People used to talk about how XIII was the end of the franchise, but that's since gotten two direct sequels. 1.0 was given the same 'swan song' but then 2.0 happened and it's since proven that false in spades. The Final Fantasy may have started as literally that but it's now as iconic as Mario and Sonic. They are going to be making Final Fantasy games for as long as there's game consoles that'll have them.

I think there is a fan theory where FF14 is actually the center of the FF multiverse.
