    I do think we need "something" that's radically different from the endgames we have/had, which are currently the same....well the crafting/gathering endgame is a bit different.

    The one good thing is Seal Rock (PVP) is actually fun

    Pharos Sirius in 2.1 was a tragedy. Somewhat challenging 4-man content that was lambasted by the community and subsequently nerfed. You can't have difficult content in FFXIV that's not specifically designed for hardcore players like Savage raids without outcry from casual players.

    It'd be neat to add alternate paths to some (not all) dungeons similar to how Bravely Default did it. Throw in 3 paths - 1 dangerous / short path, 1 middle path and 1 long but easy path. You could go through the dangerous path, only if you had a very coordinated team, and it would get you to the boss the fastest. The middle path would be like what we have now. The long path would be lots of running, but the trash would be easy to kill. This may be the best path if you have swiftsong :P

    I'd like to see more dungeons similar to Haukke Manor where it's not a linear path, but more rooms within the manor. You follow a set path, but the dungeon itself is not a set path.

    Although I like the trinity system, it would be cool to see a dungeon designed / balanced around any combination of 4 players. This would be less combat focused and maybe more puzzle / timing focused.

    I suspect there'd be a lot of bickering in DF groups because different people want different paths.

    Though in GW2, most people put up what path they wanted in the party finder and formed around that. Unless things changed since I last played it, it isn't exactly spontaneous.

    Yeah you could place in PF "Neverreap Path 2 farm for eso" or whatever. Don't see what's wrong with that.

    I never used a PF with GW2 though? Just shouts "LFG CoT path 1 farm" or whatever.

    How can SE say they're never satisfied when they've been doing the same thing repeated over and over? They're not satisfied with how things are currently, not "never satisfied" as you put it.

    Just going to throw a idea out there....

    Why not have SE reopen the ffxiv 1.0 servers... Have people join it and try to test out what would work and not there? And then turn that into a standalone mmo catered to the hardcore.. Maybe even the ff11 crew would join.
