Yes and no. It might cause it, but it could also get some people to realize they can't just bash buttons randomly. I'm neutral on parsers, but let's be honest, not trying to sound like a jerk, but do you really want that one guy who's "playing how they want" in your pt, causing unneeded wipes and holding the rest of the pt back on completing it? I sure don't. I've had those people in my pt way too much, to the point where everyone else in the pt knows the fight, but we end up wiping 5-6 times then disband because 1-2 people aren't performing to the best of their ability. At least with parsers you could tell who it is, perhaps give them some advice or mention how they might want to learn their rotation/gear up more before attempting the content and replace them with someone who knows their stuff/geared enough, so everyone can complete said content.

The OP's angry people at least talk. When I do dungeons, mine are zombies. Not even bothered to give a Hi, nice to meet you. That bothers me more than angry people. lol

I know right lol I always say hi but usually get nothing and if we wipe, no one says anything and people just leave.

You really do hate parsers don't you? Stop blaming a tool for what a few idiots may do with it.

Personally I hardly ever see angry people. The biggest a-holes I see tend to be in some Trials roulette runs with newbies lol. Most of the people I end up with in the massive pool that is DF are nice enough.

I have seen this more times than I can count honestly the past few weeks. I say "Hiya", and I get either a "Hi", and then absolutely nothing the rest of the run, or I just get complete silence. I even try and mix it up every few runs and make a comment, only to be met with the same old silence..

Zombies, the whole lot of them. I won't bite people...I promise xD

I don't think I have ever been really "angry" at someone except once. Frustrated maybe but not angry.


Fun share, the one time I was really "angry" at someone, was in Brayflox, the tank stopped to type "want a full run?" which is fine. However; I didn't know he had stopped to type, we had already crossed the threshold to spawn the 3 fliers that drop the chest if the gob doesn't die, so I went in to attack them so the gob wouldn't die.

The tank stopped everything to chew me out for being a bad DPS and pulling and didn't help with the kill (I didn't care because my wife was healer and I know she can handle it because I main tank a lot with her healing.) But man I knew this argument was going to happen when we finished the fight.

I was just trying to save the gob he had already spawned mobs on, and I didn't realize he had stopped, I was trying to get the party another loot chest. So I explained why I had kept running in, and he proceeds to get all arrogant tank on me "I'm not helping"

So I was like "Dude, I'm not going to play this game with you, I was trying to get us the chest because you popped the adds, I didn't know you stopped. If you are not going to do your job just leave." and he's like "I'm a tank I can get in instantly" I'm like w/e man no words and booted him, he rejoined made some mocking remarks, so we booted him again, then we got a great fun talkative tank really shortly and owned the dungeon.

That was the only one true time that I wanted to reach through my monitor and strangle someone.

You can do the entire game up till savage alone and solo never having to speak to a single individual. They expect you to know all fights before going in and if you don't they will yell at you and blame you.

Same. I've been in two parties that wiped once tonight (once in Trial Roulette and another time in a dungeon I was farming for gear) and everyone was totally chill about it-- no one got angry, they just got up and tried it again. I'd estimate probably 99% of my DF experiences are like that.

You can't really fault people for that. What's the point in making friends with someone in a dungeon if you'll likely never be able to talk to them again?

Such tight server restrictions in 2015, gotta love it eh?
