If they did viera, they should do the opposite of what everyone would expect. Make them bestialm vicious, and angry rabbit people. In a recent live letter there was talk of actually doing Viera in XIV but they couldn't make them unique enough to not infringe on the uniqueness of Miqo'te. So instead we got Au Ra, which were also going to be even more unique than what we got but there were fears of being maybe too 'unique' for the home audience (i.e. Japanese). Honestly, kind of glad Viera never happened. People seem to be managing just fine playing at Viera with the bunny ears.
Your post reminded me of that cartoon with cute animals that brutally murder each other, or at least that's what I assumed from the screenshots. I wish they'd have made Female Miqo'te more "feral" or beast-like similar to the males.
DO YOU SPEAK OF HAPPY TREE FRIENDS?!?!?!
I think that would more result in the elementals killing everything that don't belong to the forest.i'd LOVE to play one, but as everyone else said, it doesn't really suit the lore, but i think SE could find a way around it if they really wanted to, for example, have some big disaster/threat happen near gridania, and the elementals freaks out/go haywire and create a shit ton padjal to protect the land, or something, idk, im sure SE could find a way to work it into the lore

Or they do what they did during the 6th umbral era, cleans the land with a big flood.

That's also the big plot of the White Mage quests pre-Heavensward.I think that would more result in the elementals killing everything that don't belong to the forest.
