The truth is Summoners are last on the attack list so most of the time we do whatever we want. Everyone knows as soon as Summoner gets one good hit they run away.
No way are they last on the attack list. Summoners are second only to healers in terms of kill priority (and in some cases maybe behind blms as well). Its all situational on the battlefield but if i had to pick what job falls last on the list it would have to be pld unless they are purposely drawing attention to themselves by diving into enemy groups which is a common tactic for them.

There will always be the few oddballs who dont know what they are doing and just indiscriminately chase whatever is closest to them but for the most part when tanks/leaders are marking targets to kill its always healers/smn/blm. I know I myself cannot express my compassion and the satisfaction I get in seeing a summoner's book hit the floor at the hands of my lance as a drg (and I know for sure I'm not the only melee, tank, ranged that thinks/feels this way) but it isnt always possible for a melee to just jump in there and wreck a smn when they are behind a wall of teammates. That doesn't mean we aren't salivating in the background though waiting for the opportunity to present itself.

You will also see lots of smns running around undisturbed in primal data center simply because GC's love to stack up on smns and as such there will always be one or two that slip unnoticed between the cracks by virtue of sheer numbers. Adders in particular are notorious in primal for smn stacking. I dont know if you are or arent part of the adders seeing as you are in the primal data center but thats another potential reason for a smn to be unmolested.

LOL all of us are! We're quivering with anticipation and as soon as the enemy team starts to retreat, we hit Sprint + Invigorate and lose all speech capability.

SMN MURGRRGLGRLGLRLGL! MCH MURGRGRLGRLGRLGL! NIN MURGRGRGLRLGRLRL!

SMN is #1 on my team's "must die list". Killing a healer will take some times and during that time, a SMN will do a lot of damages to my team or even killed some of my friends.

So I'll mark #1 on SMN's head first. only take 2-3 seconds to kill them if everyone follows the mark.

That made me laugh pretty hard lol, and it's pretty accurate... though, in my case, I do not wait for the group to be in retreat for that to happen. I think the fact that a lot of people are afraid of frontal confrontations is actually part of the problem... though, catching one from behind when they think it's safe is pretty funny, especially when you get that stun off the second after they hit sprint. "whops, sorry, you wanted to run?? heh heh heh..."

What I was not agreeing with is that SMN was described as "overpowered" in a sense that it was the best job in PvP that nobody could counter or whatever. A so-called "god of PvP" with the right of life and death on anyone on the battlefield.
That was obviously exagerated to a point that I kept reminding people here what available counters there are, the drawbacks of the job and its overall situation in PvP.

That said, I do agree on saying that SMN is a currently a top tier rank PvP job... just as AST and WAR, for example (maybe MCH too).

So, yeah, SMN is a strong job in the current format of Seal Rock, that's true. But not really strong enough to call for a nerf.

I think we'd need to have 4v4 Wolves' den Lv.60 to see how they are doing. I guess the main question would be "can they kill the healer with their combo?".

I suppose. I think they could just use some adjustments in the current environment we're in, because seal rock is the only content that's active (and depending on what they do with wolves den, it still will be).

They're one of the few classes that have few meaningful weaknesses that are exclusive to them (such as melee's range, ranged's damage penalty, etc). They're the classes that suffer the least from a party being filled with them (while every other class would be over-specializing one area with glaring weaknesses), same with warrior who combines survivability, durability, damage and lock downs all in one package, but it's not as versatile or influential when it comes to winning objectives in seal rock.

Don't even get me started on astros. If they go into 4v4s the way it is now, they're essentially unkillable with only two dps and a tank present, it'd just boil down to bursting someone that the astro isn't healing (and in this case they'd become the meta for all 4v4 compositions)

Wolves den is still active right now just on a far lesser scale than it has been due to people not wanting to play lvl 50 den and are waiting for lvl 60

Even if it remains at the same activity it will still be the focal point of balance, not seal rock

Looking at the numbers for face value, it looks more like kill sniping than anything since your kills:damage is lower than that of my MCH.

BLMs have their own advantages, but imo it's not greater than that of a SMN or the other classes to push their team to a win. Their damage comes from staying still, which is perfect for defending high ground nodes (or the other team doesn't give a f about you), especially ones that bottle neck or force you to run around it (such as the all the cave ones or the beach high ground). Otherwise when you're on open, even terrain, BLMs are third on my harass list when I can't burst. But in the ase of seal rock, defense is just a little bit less than half of the game, especially for the first 10 minutes. Did you have the point breakdown for that fight?

Well this is not slaughter where you can fight against your opponents 100% of time. I did sometimes even 300k+ damage in lvl 50 with my smn once there was no downtime. If you watch other player kills and damage, there was not that much action than used 2 be.
