Any new word on transparent/low profile weapons for pug/mnks?

It's an age old question that's been on the forums and reddit over and over again. Will monks ever get to have transparent claws/knuckles? This is something that's come up since 2.0 launched and now that we are into the expansion and nearing 3.1, it would be nice to have whatever updated information a GM or dev could give us. Last time I checked, there was word that the dev team would look into giving monks more blunt looking weapons for HW, and though we have the Esoterric and Alexander blunt weapons, it would be a great favor to the monk's out there who just want to punch things with their bare fists. I'm not sure how coding works with this stuff, but the Emperor's New items make equipment invisible... if this lore/theory is applied to monk weapons, we wouldn't even need to reanimate to close our fists because we are still technically holding a weapon - it's just invisible. I think way back when, a dev mentioned we could possibly get something like boxing gloves... which I would gladly take over giant spiky cuffs or little cuffs with glowing blue thingies that look like I need a manicure.

It's not bare-knuckle fighting, but Baldur Claws are pretty inoffensive as far as monk weapons ago. It's what I've been using for glamour, in lieu of a true barefist glamour.

Was mention but never confirmed, they weren't comfortable with monk looking like they are hitting things with their barefist, there was mention of having some runes appear on your fist but none of it is actually confirmed though.

I am not sure about the lore for FF monk, but are other previous FF games monk using the same type of weapon we do because as of now we seems to be stuck with bladed/claw and in HW spike type of weapon. Why can't we actually get a gauntlet type weapon, I have seen quite a few games with pretty awesome gauntlet type weapon, hell I even thought Alex weapon would be gauntlet type since it's steam punk and all, would have been a good fit.

Monk lore for FF Varies.
In FF1 and 3, monks did more dmg without a weapon equipped.
In in ff5 monk did good dmg without a weapon but better damage with a fist weapon.

Tactics was the same etc.
All the monks that were "monk" (as in no tifa or zell etc) Did good damage with both barehand and with a weapon

This. I'd much prefer a barehanded/glove/gauntlet weapon myself. It would look much better imo.

I don't remember seeing anything about this anywhere. The last I remember seeing was:

We don't have any plans to make all weapon types transparent; however, for monks, we are planning to release something once we look more into the concept of fighting with their own fists.
