Terrible FPS after 9/8 Update

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to why I'm getting horrible FPS after Tuesday's update. In populated cities I was getting 40-50 FPS. In the open world, I would get anywhere between 50-90+ FPS.

After yesterdays update, I'm getting around 15-20 FPS in populated cities and about 30 FPS in the open world. Is there anything I can do to to fix this issue? Thank you, much appreciated.

Win 10
I7 3.6
16gb ram
gtx 980m
raid 0 SSD
I have the highest settings for the game in every option.


I know it's a laptop but it can handle most games at high settings. I can play the Witcher 3 at the highest settings at 30fps. I've been playing FFXIV on the highest settings without any issues and after yesterday's update it's horrible.

By chance did something get switched and now it is using the iGPU of your processor? Sounds about the same performance those get that you are seeing now.

I didn't think of that; thanks for the suggestion. I will look into it this evening.

Edit: Thanks for the suggestion; FPS are back to normal.
