I've encountered plenty of bad players in DF but very few bad attitudes. Heck, just yesterday I had a group wipe on the last boss of the Aery because the healer derped and forgot you have to keep Estinien healed. The tank pointed it out (politely) after we wiped, the healer apologized and said they just had a brainfart, and we went on to clear it easily on the next try. No one got angry or called the healer any names; in fact, everyone just said it was no big deal and that stuff happens sometimes.

I would've commended the entire rest of the party if I could for being so chill. Most of the people I run into in DF are like this, though.

I don't know where ppl get so many of these encounters that they feel the need to post this kind of stuff, I have never been vote kicked for explaining a strat, trying to help or just doing my job.

Kindda makes me think the toxic ppl are the ones who complain here but are not giving us the full story (as in making themselves look like little angels when they are the instigators) idk, maybe not but just from my experience its really not that bad. The only issues Ive ever had are ppl who purposely troll the pt but they are normally the ones kicked...oh wait a minute

Any game that has a random pug matcher will produce bad encounters with people from time to time, it's like going to a new school, maybe people won't like you or maybe they will, you will get over it and move on.

Play with FC mates, make your own groups, use PF.

A good tip is : don't talk, don't yell at people if they make a mistake ( this can instant kick you ) and don't tell people mechanics, let them wipe and learn themselves.

People don't logon to be told what to do or how to play, yet there is always someone in the group who loves to be better than everyone else.

Same here, met bad players enough in DF, very rarely toxic players. But it isn't unusual for people to exagerate a point to get it across or to get sympathy. With some peoples posts you would think that 99% of DF parties consist of toxic players. Where, in my experience it is more like less than 1% overall.

Just today I had 6(?!) A4 groups that had to vote abandon due to dps not sharing tethers, not killing dolls, eating tank splash damage. It'd be nice if I could completely ignore mechanics too but as a tank/healer I don't have that luxury nor the patience to deal with people who don't even take the time to read the party chat where I repeatedly emphasize the mechanics of the fight. After 22 clears I finally got my last shaft for my healer body after losing it to said dps on the 21 runs prior. And yes, I counted because it started getting ridiculous after the 3rd vote abandon.

Honestly, I must just be really lucky.

My DF experience has not been full of the horror stories that people like to tell on the forums.

It's basically, enter dungeon. I say hi. they say hi. I ask for mechanic explanations if it is my first time. i get mechanic explanations before the boss. we clear the dungeon, in a decent(to me) amount of time.

I don't pull whole rooms at a time, but I don't lollygag inbetween pulls either. i don't like speed runs, but I don't like taking forever either, so as soon as the last mob dies, I'm off to the next one unless someone speaks up.
