Also I would like to add they used to put old items back into new events, there was a thread a lot larger then this one about people complaining about how they didn't like that and would rather see new items.

I don't remember that thread at all, and what's more, that's a nonsensical argument. Would rather see new items? We DID get new items, in addition to the old ones. There is literally no way to lose with that model.

Its ok if you don't remember it happening its been just about a year since it happened, that doesn't take away from it happening though just because you want to pretend it didn't. Also yes that was the main point, people wanted to stop seeing old items in new events. Yes I do realize there were SOME old items in the last event however not all of them were there, but don't sit there acting as if everything from last summer event was obtainable via this event, because you know very well it wasn't. The current model is fine, putting on the cash shop once the event passes is also fine.

Getting overly emotional over an event item you failed to obtained is just odd, then being so attached to it that you can't be bothered to spend whatever the two - five dollars that your currency deems it to be is also odd. Its as if people put on blinders and suddenly go crazy over cosmetic items being a cash shop.

From the first holiday event in 2.0 (Moonfire Faire 2013) up through Moonfire Faire 2014, ALL old event items were on the vendor in ADDITION to new items. I am not "acting as if" anything. I am telling you literally how it used to be. There was nothing wrong with that model. Then SE decided to remove some things and stick them on the cash shop - that is where my objection comes in. We had a system that worked perfectly, and they messed it up.

That is kinda the point I am trying to get you to see. People who played this game suggested the current model by complaining about the old model. You get what you ask for. Mind you, I know you yourself probably didn't ask for this, I don't remember who all replied on that thread but it was just.. way to many people all expressing their hate of the old system. It seems SE took it and changed it according to what the players wanted. No matter what though you can't make everyone happy they can only strive to make the majority happy, and you can't judge that based off the forums.
