Can we get CT roulette or 1 party version?

I'd prefer undersized to a roulette. It doesn't gate anything, so it doesn't need a roulette like msq/trial. I'd rather not farm 2.X content for 3.X gear as much as possible.

Really people only need it for glamour/minion/for kicks, and undersized can do all those things. New players don't need it unless they fall into one of the other categories.

Well there is the story, and experiencing it in a way as close as possible to the original way it was done. I know if I was a new player I'd rather play through it at level 50, and actually have to perform some mechanics. Why not both though?

Well, because this isn't a single player game. To be blunt, the lvl 50 experience of CT doesn't exist anymore. That experience required 23 other people of similar level and gear. Making it a roulette wouldn't do that.

That wasn't really what I meant anyways, though. People were comparing it to msq/trial roulette, which contains things you actually need in order to continue the game. You don't need ct for anything but ct. If new players want to do ct, that's one thing, but they'll never need it. Really what you're describing just falls into the "for kicks" category anyways.

Well you wouldn't have to farm it. You would be able to do your esoterics cap the way you do it now, it would only offer new ways to other people who don't mind running old 24mans. There is no gating included in roulette.

I really don't think anyone's gonna run it unless the rewards are pretty solid. At which point it's still not required, but you're shooting yourself in the foot by not doing it, and your other avenues of farming would lose their population. I know there were people that really liked CT, but in general it wasn't very well liked.

My main problem is just that I don't want to be backtracking on content. I'd rather the focus be on heavensward content to get things in heavensward. I'm not against people being able to do ct, but I feel like allowing undersized parties would accomplish that just fine. Adding incentives would be overkill.

Don't forget that to join undersized you would still have to make an undersized alliance which would take hours even on populated server.

If they added ability to enter in undersized party via DF, it might be abused and people would join as 1 tank, 1 heal and maybe fail the raid.

Only undersized possibility would be if they completely remade the 24man to be doable in 1 party, which would take a lot of effort compared to just adding it into roulette.

EDIT: I accept your opinions, I am just trying to come out with the easiest to add plus the most efficient way to implement my request.

That's pretty much how I'm imagining it. I don't see why that'd be so much harder. They just have to let you q as a party, they don't need to make any other adjustments. I don't think there are any mechanics that would require more than maybe 5 people at level 60. "Completely remade" feels like a bit of a stretch.

Well.. there are a few mechanics that are splitting the parties, but yeah, if devs wouldn't mind adjusting this a bit, then it would be possible and I agree that it would be the best option. I have just tried to offer as many options as possible so they wouldn't look at this thread and say "hmm, too hard to implement, we won't do this."

But I would definitely love the way to run the raid again if it even meant that I would run it with only 5-7 FC mates instead of 23 people. I believe it is still better than letting the content die out completely.
