They need to add more ways to spend gil before adding ways to make gil.

Actually, it's materia melding that can only be unlocked by a DoH class. The assimilating part (converting spiritbonded gear into materia) can be unlocked and done by any level 19 or above class, so it's available even to those who exclusively use DoW/DoM.
It's simple and repetitious, which certainly can be boring if you force yourself to do it when you're not in the mood for it, or to keep at it for a long time. But it can also be relaxing. Whenever work has been particularly hectic or frustrating, I'll come home and spend some time grinding one or another of the gathering classes. It's also good as a break between dungeon runs or when you don't feel like running another dungeon but want to stay in the game, in touch with your FC or LS friends, and want to be advancing something while still available to chat. It beats just standing around in Mor Dhona or somewhere.
(I don't have any of them fully leveled yet, though. MIN 40, BTN 39, FSH 29.)

Just bite the bullet and take a week or 2 to get your crafting classes to 50. Using leves and HQ turn-ins will make the process very easy. Repair problem solved. I really don't understand why people just throw gil at NPCs to fix their gear when you can just repair your own at a fraction of the cost.
All I got from the OP was "I want to have more gil. I know what it will take to get more gil, but I don't want to do that because it is boring. Please add ways for me to continue to be lazy but still get the gil I want."
Other than the obvious solution, looks like you are stuck farming dhalmels/dragons/whateversellsonthemarketboard, which is even more boring than crafting/gathering.
I make a healthy amount just from tanking dungeons via the "Adventurer in Need" bonus.
Slight error here. Clan marks are 1000 gil each for level 1 and 2 marks and 1500 gil each for level 3. That is 17500 per day/122500 per week.
Also you can spend the 110 seals you earn each day to buy 21 Aetheryte tickets (105 seals) which can seriously reduce teleportation costs. (Saving you between 21000 and 95550 if you use up all 147 each week)

Whoops my bad, thanks for the correction. I'll update the post.
Thank you as well. The fix brought the monthly amount close to a million gil per month! Never thought it was this easy to generate money from the game itself as opposed to trading it. With all the new adventurers pouring in the game no wonder inflation is going crazy. We need more gil sinks. >_<

Maps, dude.
If you don't wanna craft/gather/sell runs, you can kill stuff for high-demand mats like Deepeye Tears and Yak Milk
