I support it also as long as they continue doing cosmetic items and such alone. Still hoping they add the lightning event items one day.

^ Yes, this. SO much this. My alt only has half of snow's outfit because he was lvl 30 at the time... And it bugs me soooo bad.
So was the celestial turd at first and with Yoshi's love of copying WoW the future looks hastily recolored ingame and if you actually want to see a unique reward you'll have to (s)wipe the credit card boss.
I don't have a fair chance to get Alex Savage gear because I can't invest the amounts of time required for raiding on that level.Because buying items with real money isn't fun (for me).

It is not fair.
Everybody should have the same opportunities to get cool stuff in the Game.
And the only way to do this (in a fair way), is through playing the game.
Another reason is, that i don't like it when a virtual world, where i want to distract myself from the real world,
is connected to the real world through a cash shop.
Luckily there is no inGame-Access to the store... yet!
I don't have a fair chance to get high cost glam like the Tavnarian (or however it's spelled) because I can't invest the amounts of time required to get millions of gil by crafting/gathering.
I don't have a fair chance to get some of the dyes because I can't invest the time to level my retainer to the point where it can get them.
I do on the other hand have access to money, because the reason I lack time is mainly because I work.
You see what I am getting at?

^^^^^^ A million times this ^^^^^^
I would buy a set for each alt no questions ask, take my money!
Also if the minions were account wide opens like the horse (even if they were slightly more expensive then they are now) I would be shoveling money at SE!

I'll tell you what I absolutely need from a ff14 cash shop.... ff14 T-shirts for real life, ff14 jewelry, plushies, keychains.... I can't get those sort of things where I live T^T I neeeeed theeeem. I am already in a critical condition found the gaping wound of not being able to order the physical collector's edition here. :< No love for New Zealand

Don't worry boss, it's all about appeal. How can you expect to sell mounts, when the best one is already obtainable with the initial purchase? Or farmed commendations.

I was under the impression that cash shop profits got to developing more stuff for the cash shop and new seasonal vanity. Like a self-funding side project. It probably helps to make up for the losses of the past as well. I don't have anything to back that up though, just a gut feeling.
As long as the game stays enjoyable I am happy to pay a little extra (for cosmetic things) to support it. This thread actually reminded me that I was supposed to buy the platinum wedding packet.
Going to finish with the mandatory: bring back lightning hair, please! Preferrably in the store rather than it being 2 million MGP, a 5 star craft or a drop in savage. Ya'know, so people can actually obtain it.

sigh. I'm not saying take the dye out of the game and put it into the cash shop. I'm just saying, they should also put it into the cash shop. I'm not trying to turn the game into easy mode over here. Just provide the option to buy the dye for those of us who want that option, but keep it on the venture drop table for those who prefer that route. It's dye. It's harmless.
Heck, how is it even a grind to begin with? You're sending your retainers out to bring back anything from fish to armor. Bronze pieces to furniture. Again, it's stupid little harmless dye used for nothing but cosmetics that you can't craft or trade so what's wrong with giving us the option to buy it straight from SE? It's a win-win situation for literally everyone.

To be honest, the cash shop is so small/adds hardly anything, that I mostly forget about it. That to me is a good thing, it means it isnt unbalanced, its merely cosmetic.
I bought fantasia and sleipnir ...would totally buy wind up Moenbryda if it exists.
