Yup that's pretty much it. The only problem with this is having to go to Uldah all the time. You pretty much got it though.

because if the majority of the server has a problem with you or doesn't like you it becomes hard to find someone willing to repair your stuff.

(I don't experience this but I know of people on my server who do)

And regardless of that, if you pay high I don't see why I should not repairing.
