Emotes in the cash shop..

Zeonx, would your game experience be affected if, on top of the event this summer, there had been the same NPC to teach the bomb dance except he wouldn't have a quest for you if you had already obtained the emote? Would you even realize he was there?

I wouldn't care but I am not raining on your guys parade.

I am simply saying if it effects getting new events just to bring back something old, like the lightning event then yes its going to bug me, cause waiting for the next event when there is nothing to do on the game and then they bring the same old stuff, id be left out and most everyone else who did it.

I see what you are saying old content npc at new events but then again its extra work and so if devs are busy, just toss it on cash shop, I don't see the big issue, they need stuff on cash shop to sell and people asked for it, now its a problem and people are against it.

If SE keep any kind of sensible notes on past events, the 'extra work' would be about five minutes to turn a specific NPC and quest back on. The emote quests as I remember them (I was new to the game last Faire, I didn't even know they were tied to an event) were quite simple.

The main work has been done. The NPC(s) have been tested, the emote has been made - it shouldn't be much more than the equivalent of flicking a switch and checking that the light turned on.

As for people asking for the cash shop, please keep in mind how many people play the game even at the low estimate. SOME people asked for the shop, others asked for the shop not to be made out of fear that more and more stuff would end up there instead of being obtainable in the game. Sadly some people don't care HOW much money they have to spend as long as they can get everything, and because of that mentality the ... let's say older players, the ones from before all games were online and had DLC and what not, are left in the dust with our principles of how much we want to pay to have access to everything in a given game.

Wow 42 pages. I honestly can't understand the time you put into whining on the cashshop. If you really want a emote they decide to sell and its €2, whats the big deal?
XIV isnt the first MMO who are not lending out previous event items, in XI they only did that with their anniversary event up to recently.

the big deal is most of these people think a pay to play game shouldnt have a cash shop at all and they will do everything they can to make sure we all know.

Those of you who are whining have no idea what kind of finances they are being given from SE for the subs. We just don't know.
See I don't think SE is putting a lot back into this game financially so Yoshi-P and the others have to come up with some way to make up for it. Ofcourse this is speculation on my part but I still wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out I'm right about it.
either way the cash shop isn't going anywhere. don't like it? don't buy from it.
want the items in it to appear in events as an alternative? well they might listen to that possible suggestion if the majority of you who are against it didn't make yourselves look like whining brats who feel entitled or are paranoid.

extra retainers are not part of the cash shop. They are not on the list of what you can buy in the cash shop. They are more like extra account service, like name change or server transfer.

Can you link me to a statement from SE about what the money earned from the cash shop is used for, in that case?

If you need an official statement to see how they are not putting any more money in the game than they used to boy I do worry for you. Thankfully you still have a long life ahead to figure stuff out on your own.
