BLM Craft?

So i leveled ninja to 60 with no crafting class and with BLM getting close to 45 I'm getting tired of all this materia i have saved up but am unable to meld to any gear. if im understanding this right i just need to get one of the main crafts to 19, do the quest and i can meld any gear? or do i need to specific craft for that type of gear to meld materia to it?

If its not the later which is one craft i can focus on that will give a good bonus to blm? im hearing Goldsmithing for weapons or weaving for gear? and input fellow BLM?

Unfortunately you need the correct corresponding craft to meld materia. Like you said, gsm for jewelry, weaver for cloth armor. The crafter level must also reach the level of the item in order to meld. So for instance a level 30 gsm would not be able to meld into a level 60 jewelry piece. If this sounds like too much work just shout out that you are looking for some melds. Say the level and craft and you should be able to find someone who can do it for you. You'll probably need/want to tip them. Good luck

man that is harsh............... i guess ill start with weaving since thats most of my gear... hope i dont need leather working for my boots ><

Uhm... hint. None of the DoM / DoW end game gear allows melding materia into them. Even craftable gear allows only for a small margin of customization without any real gain, and that is only after you sunk several millions of gil into leveling crafters to 60. If you're relatively new to the game, and I suppose you are with only one class and no crafters at max level, you're better off selling DoM / DoW materia as long as people pay a decent price instead of hoarding them.

unless you know, you're a tank where crafted accessories are best in slot. and if ur sinking millions into lvling a craft, ur doing it wrong

See, that's the thing. You assume too much. He is no tank, he's NIN and leveling BLM. Also if you're a brand new player and have neither crafter and gatherer classes at max nor the needed gear to back it up then you're indeed stuck with the market board for materials past level 50, and a few millions are spent insanely fast there.

Im gonna ask the guys in my FC and FC LS, they do high level stuff so i hope they can meld it for me. I just wanted to see if i could level a craft to 19 and BAM i can meld but to have to have the certain gear needing a certain job i think thats a little out of my realm right now lol im still new and loving the game and the different jobs. I think i will just ask for melding and worried about a craft after i have the leveling bug out of my system
