Healer's gear drops to 0 during instance, they have no dark matter...

Why exactly is it not possible to help a party member whose gear all breaks during an instance? Let's say your healer is so new to the game that they don't know about dark matter and repairing their own gear during an instance, like what just happened to my party. It would be really nice to be able to go, "hey, I have all my crafts leveled, let me repair that for you, no charge!" or, "hey, I have all this dark matter on me, let me give you some!" It's impossible to carry on with a completely broken healer or tank, and it's impossible to help them out, so the only options become either vote dismissing that player for really no fault of their own, or vote abandon rather than make that poor healer take a penalty, again, for really no fault of their own.

TL;DR we really need to be able to repair others' gear or trade them some matter during dungeons. Seems like a pretty reasonable thing, and we used to be able to, so why can't we anymore?

I would like to be able to repairing others' gears. But the reason in above exmaple is not strong enough. ^^;
As there is still chance that no one have dark matter or no one is able to repair,
so maybe SE will put a repair NPC at the entrance instead of allow repairing others' gear...

I would love for other people to repair broken gear because I don't carry dark matter...

Short answer: We need this in the game...we need to be able to trade items to players and also repair them if they need it.
Long Answer: When I know I am running something there is a mental checklist we all do...right???!
1. Do I have the food I need and enough?
2. Do I have x-pots for my job? Draconian if you are rich and running endgame world first.
3. Is my gear in good enough condition...for me that is over 100% with hopefully 199% or close to it.
4. Do I have 99 class 6 and 99 class 5 items for repairing (never remember what they are called, just buy them off the vendor in your house)

We also should be able to trade any item in a dungeon imo.
