Emotes in the cash shop..

If you pay a monthly fee for gym membership, does it entitle you to get free snacks, sports bottles and t-shirts from the owner? Nope, your membership only covers cleaning and repairs, new machines, customer service and access to the gym at specific times. Nothing more. It's not double dipping. It's getting a finite amount of service for a finite amount of money. Just because you are given a sports bottle to celebrate the gym's 5th anniversary, doesn't mean the gym has to start handing them out permanently for no cost after the anniversary has ended. Extra is extra. All I'm seeing here is people who paid for and received a little finger and claim they deserve the whole hand.

The problem is gym memberships are borderline scams, and it tends to be something only fools pay for, Unless they are incapable of getting their own equipment (which you could easily afford if you're willing to waste money on a scam membership) Much like this cash shop, it just preys on people to give money. And you more then likely won't use it as often as you think for the price you paied for it.

I say I disagree with op.

Personally I don't wanna see the same event done over and over like FFXI, so they toss it into the cash shop of you are interested in the emote then buy it, sorry you were not here during the event, though if you are patient maybe it will pop onto the game as a special emote or item they did with previous items.

I want new events with new stuff, not old stuff and old content being put out over and over, so yeah sorry I just don't agree with you guys on what you are saying.

Honestly it only makes sense to put these things in the cash shop. SE has to find a balance when it comes to these seasonal events target can't simply just recycle old rewards in to every event just so new players can get them cause then old players will bitch that it's just the same stuff again

"Companies exist to make money," is not a good argument. Ever. Yeah, they exist to make money. Doesn't mean they have to slap us all around to knock every last penny from our pockets or that we should just stand by and let them do it when they do. After all, you don't stop going to a doctor when a virus makes you sick, do you? When a terrorist walks in to blow you up, do you shrug and go "oh well, that's what they exist for, can't complain about it"? I should think not. o.o

Because this is a p2p game, and content shouldn't be removed from the game to be put on a cash shop? Because players should be proactive in making sure they're not nickel and dimed? Good grief, this is a silly question.

People complained about Lightning Returns and that's why they did the event a second time.

No it isn't, The reason they did it twice was for 2 launch times(Japanese and worldwide). The original event if you paid attention was called "Lightning Strikes Twice".
The 3rd time was because people begged for a repeat due to the PS4 launch(I think anyway But, the reason for the 3rd time is complete speculation, they never came forth and told us why. they could have just decided to do it as part of the anniversary since that was when it ran)

Is SE not making enough money? Extra inventory space already costs RL money

my guess is SE is making a decent amount off of the subs for FFXI and FFXIV but putting very little back into them which is why we have the cash shop in the first place.
this is speculation mind you but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that SE told Yoshi-P "you want more funds find another way to make them"

I really don't give a flying crap if they sell emotes or glam armor that was old news. As long as it does not give another player an advantage over others playing the game I do not see why they cannot sell their own stuff. Just deal with it.
