Emotes in the cash shop..

Aslong as players are willing to pay SE for emotes/mounts/last year events, they will introduce more stuff for these customers. Seeing how they decided to place the emote and items in the cash store, instead of a quest or a ingame vendor, should give you a clear message. SE knows people are willing to pay, so they supply.

I'm surprised that the "Huzza!" Emote is not in the cash shop for this year's anniversary.

I don't care if every event page has that notice that does not mean it's exclusive especially when it says seasonal event that has been happening every year where players got event items for free. I don't care about the fact that they have a cash shop but the fact that they made something that was free and turned it into something that now requires cash which mostly hurts new players who were unaware that they used to give these items out for free it's the biggest slap in the face. Won't be long before Square takes Aesthetician and has it charging money instead of gil but hey you'll get over it right.

No, it does not hurt anyone. It's VANITY, it's not needed, you don't suffer by not having it! You want it? You really want it? PAY!

Also it's funny that most of the people who complain about this stuff being in the cash shop are crying "in the name of new players", yet I have seen close to no actual new players complaining.

People need to understand this is a business.

People need to understand that viruses infect us to recreate. Viruses exist to recreate and make us ill in the process and like all living things they want to do so optimally. Therefore, you should not go to a doctor to stop these viruses from inconveniencing you for a few days or weeks during which you are sick. After all, that's what viruses exist for, it is their nature. So do not blame them for it or rebel against it. Companies exist to make money. Viruses exist to make us sick. Live and let live. Do not complain. Pay money in the cash shop and let viruses make you sick. After all, that's what they exist for, and that excuses them from inconveniencing their customers or hosts.

Doesn't mean they have to slap us all around to knock every last penny from our pockets or that we should just stand by and let them do it when they do. After all, you don't stop going to a doctor when a virus makes you sick, do you? Oh. Sorry. $2 is clearly insane for a dance. I'm sure you'd rather we charge you $10 for it, $10 for the clothing, $20-25 for a single Fantasia, and make server transfers be $25 for each character. I'm sure you'd much prefer that.

No. Seriously. You don't need it. It's not like you'll be blocked from every raid if you don't have it. They couldn't release it this year because this event has differences. It's like having a Christmas event in June and shoving in a Lala for Santa who doesn't even give presents. It doesn't fit.

Why should they not charge money on an old vanity thing? Its their game they don't even have to bring the old event items back but they know people want them yes so they figured hey why not have these available all year long and people can just buy it when ever. Seams a lot better than waiting a whole year for the same event that may not even give the same items.

Yes they want to make money so what that's the practice of every business they put optional stuff on the cash shop that you don't even need you don't need the old event stuff you don't need the wedding plan that gives you a 2 seater mount you don't need to change your race you don't need those cool metallic dyes you don't need any of the stuff on the cash shop.

I mean come on if you have such problems don't buy from them. I swear people are just selfish this whole thread disgusts me. Unless a piece of vanity costs over $100 and they start outing the best end game gear in which will necmver happan but if it dose then we riot. I don't recall SE ever making people buy things from the Mogstation. Like, the only thing I've bought (aside from Fantasia's, which was heavily requested) was the wedding stuff and that was to cheer a friend up. Other than that, I've not bought anything ever since. Most, if not, all items on the Mogstation are just for (missed seasonal) glamour purposes as well as a guarantee that all future seasonal events will have something new to offer.

I see cash shops in an P2P MMO only an issue if A)it effects game balance by what is sold there such as buy to win or B) the company is producing product for its cash shop while their paid game is failing to provide its money's worth for the subscription. I find neither of these an issue with SE. SE provides very good value for money for its sub fee, probably being one of the most prolific content providers in the industry and nothing on the cash shop is more than vanity or convenience.

Do people genuinely feel they aren't getting their value for money for their sub? Cause it that's the case its not the cash shop's fault. And if you are getting value for your sub then why are you complaining that your not getting even more?
