whats your favorite healer class and why

I started this game as a WHM, because I like healers. But when I decided to level a DPS class I decided to do Arcanist first. Well once I unlocked Scholar, something just clicked. Not right away but, as I played Scholar more, I fell in love. I am also the only Scholar in my FC so yay for me, lol. The feeling of being able to control my pet, DPS and heal all at the same time is thrilling. If anything id say I'm leaning towards Astro for second place, because I do like the cards; if only they werent so random. I, mean why would I use shuffle on the card I just got if I wanted that same card again. This isn't real life shuffle doesn't have to give me the same card, lol.

But the ONLY thing I'd love to see for all the SCHs out there, is a Pet-Command like "Follow"
'til now you have the choice of "Stay" and "Go there" and I used the "Go there" command very often!

It would be great to have the opportunity to order your Pet to follow someone! Wouldn't it?

Would be an option, but I doubt I would ever use it. The point of "Stay" is to keep your pet from repositioning itself before queuing its next cast. "Follow" would cause the same delay that "Heel" does.

My favorite class is Astrologian, because I love buffing people with the cards. I would love to play a full support class with enhancement and enfeeblement spells, but I don't believe they'll add it to the game due to its current meta. I hope they consider it in the future, making it in a way that, even without DPSing or healing, the overall dps/healing output would be equivalent due to the enhancing and enfeebling spells.
I also like the concept of fast healing and the way I can adapt to content/groups by selecting two different healing styles.

Astrologian: its and absolute joy to play, amazing aesthetics, a nice level of complexity, and no pet (oh god how nice it is to heal without the fairy around).

I want this bad but maybe still with heals, but then how would we kill things in solo quests?

I started as and mained WHM, but they were so common and I didnt like 2 whm in harder content, so i mained SCH right up until AST. now i like ast most because its sparkley and the sound effects are better and I prefer the lore also.

I always liked being a support healer. I have not really played astro too much but SCH is my favorite because of this. We keep the party pretty much alive in dire situations with Adol and Bubble. Swiftcast/ Adol/ E4E spread.

Having a pet makes me feel a bit tactical because I need to be able to put her in the right place to get the best results. I need to be able to control what she's doing.
I know some people have her on auto but I have Eos on Savage always whispering dawn before prey and always whispering dawn as were dodging jumps for that extra oomph. Selene is my assist for anything that needs a step in dps. Having a hard time with bishmark , enjoy the speedy push. 0/

Just feels great to always be on the look out for example if titan knocks back pet need to replace while dodging landslide myself and solo healing tank. So much chaos, so much things I need to be on top of.
I love it.

Plus sometimes I think of Bravely Default and I think of Eos/Selene as Airy even though Airy is you know, but in the long run its very nostalgic.

I played with SCH/WHM at 50, and now I play with SCH/AST at 60. Needless to say, I really love SCH. I've always loved playing pet classes in MMOs. Warlock, summoner (lineage 2), hawkeye (RO), etc.

With the new buffs, AST has finally replaced WHM for me. I just love how it looks and plays. Now all I need is Red Mage, RDM will replace AST for sure no matter what role it is.
