Like there's anything to really spend on this game.
Most your gill is dumped into glamour anyways lol.

Challenge log, roulettes, and daily hunts don't give a lot of gil. They don't. Maybe to some people, that are sittin anywhere between 100k and 1 million. But that's really nothing, considering how expensive houses and mats and glamours are. I used to want more ways to get gil, but after seeing how frustrating crafting is, I would hate for all the work I put into crafting to just disappear. If getting gil was just as time consuming and required hard work equal to or harder than crafting, sure, but otherwise, suck it up and craft is my new philosophy. That said, a good way of getting Gil would be dragonskin maps, if you can gather them yourselves, you can get about 15-30k a day guaranteed, tie it in with your dailies and weeklies and it's something, plus a decent chance at rare mats dropping that sell for a truckload.
I have almost 12 mil, before the expansion I barely had 4 mil. I don't craft or gather for gil. So yeah.
I want to give my two cents as well: I partially wish too that I had more ways to earn gil since I really despise gathering and crafting for their RNG factor, and my only income is mostly the roulette reward (as a tank it's not a lot, but it's what I do 90% of the time. The 10% is being idle).
Sure there are other few ways to gain your gil (like maps), but I really wished that I could get a small amount of gil via daily quests somehow: we can only do 6 per day (or is it higher? I was already maxed out when HW came, so please correct me if I'm wrong), so why not give 8k per daily and get at least 48k each day? it's not a lot, sure, but for new players who just might be low on cash and can't afford raising their crafting skills (I remember spending a lot of money myself), I think 40k-50k per day is not a bad sum.
This is just my opinion anyway: I have a small house, 4m from only dungeon (and from when I sold those arachne threads), and I don't need additional gil: this is only my opinion.

If you really want a lot of gil, then start cutting back on your spending.
lol i normally stay around 100k cant make gil for nothing
this line is silly the only reason im broke is cause i leveled a crafting job there is no way i can see makeing gil out of this when you need to put so much gil into it its crazy

Farm lv60 dungeons for minions thaey are rare rng drops and they go for an hefty price
Not going to give up the "secrets" but you don't have to be a crafter or gatherer to make some good money...you just have to think outside the box and put work in...it is never going to be handed to you. But if you are done with every other battle class why not level crafters and gatherers and get filthy rich...it is worth and then you can fix your own gear and save yourself some money.

Crafting and gathering are boring. #FACT
I'd rather use my free time to player other game after I finished playing battle content in FFXIV.
SE should add a new way to obtain gil for pure combat players.
