In some of the original art, Lalafell actually have curves and don't come off looking childish at all.
If anything, this seems to properly match up with the personalities they have, as they're not anything like children at all.

There's a difference? It's like seals vs sea lions vs walruses (the incredibly stupid looking vampire elvaans). They're all big, stupid looking, fugly, and deserve to meet with a Krakken Club. After the uprising, they will wish they had been shipped to AuRaswitch.
