I don't have the AMD optimizing crap installed.There was a thread floating around where all users of the EVGA 900 series GPUs were having that issue. One person had only just bought theirs so they exchanged it for an MSI brand and didn't have the issue since.
May want to get in touch with the EVGA forums to see if your issue is related.

Not to derail the thread, but my Laptop with an AMD GPU was crashing until I changed some stuff around in the Catalyst Control Center. Seems that the options for AMD Optimized and Surface Optimizations were injecting their own graphics formats and crashing my game. I had to change everything to "Use Application Settings" and turn off any sort of AMD optimizing listings, for it to run properly.
Was the first thing I removed after updating the driver.
