Please raise the gil transfer limit.

with 3.5 trillion gil in circulation and how much some people have amassed, the current limit just doesn't make any sense. It discourages people from moving cross world to find a raid static. It discourages players from meeting up with friends. And saying its to prevent RMT abuse isn't a good reason. RMT preventative measures should NEVER come at the cost of making the game less enjoyable for legitimate players. WoW had a gil transfer limit of 1/4 of the possible max (in FFXIV numbers 250m). The current transfer cap is 1/250 of that.

If you need more gil sinks in the game, just add them in a meaningful way instead of straight up deleting tens of millions at a time from players that worked hard for it. And investing into items isnt really a solution for people with 100m+. We shouldnt have to do that much work to retain our money.

It also encourages bots to send millions gil to other servers. It also helps the servers economies remain stable.

I am fine with it, my characters are max level and both of them don't even have 500k. Its based off the average player and it does it well.

If you want to transfer 10million gil to a server, that is 20$ for each move. Your guild makes a donation to SE and you get your gil. =)

The gil transfer limit isn't a gil sink. It's a preventative measure to protect smaller servers' economies.

I don't get how it helps to protect a small server's economy when it just means that the people who transfer are just going to check the market for stuff they can buy and resell at a profit. The only difference is the pain in the ass it causes.

They should raise that cap up to 200-300mil atleast, current amout you can take with you when trasferring is mere pocketchanges.

With the amount of gil in circulation at this point in the game, it could be raised a little higher than 1m on your character and 100k per retainer. By no means do I have a lot and I have more than that atm and had far more back when I did my transfer. Something like 3m or even as high 5m would allow people to transfer more efficiently without all the fuss and without doing any damage to the economy on the destination server or giving shady players/rmt the option to use the service to move gil around.

1M or less would be reasonable if transfers were free. But with the real money cost, and the ability to buy items to sell on the new server 5-10M would be reasonable.

Because that's just shuffling already-existing gil around from character to character. It's completely different from taking an enormous amount of brand-new gil from outside the system and dumping it into the economy all at once.

The two scenarios you described are essentially the same thing because each server has an isolated economy. Having gil transferred to the server and having gil suddenly just appear on the server won't have different consequences on the server.
