Well, in regards to some 'interesting' mount ideas... During the recent 14-hour broadcast, Yoshi-P mentioned that the dev. team actually recreated Cloud's motorcycle as a mount and had it running in-game; however, since it was a ground mount, it was much slower than they wanted it to be and therefore they decided not to add it.
