The first 30 days does not give the recruiter any gold feathers and they cannot get silver feathers, period. The friend who was recruited (you) has to subscribe for 150 consecutive days so the recruiter gets more gold feathers. For you with the silver feathers, try going to a moogle mailman and request a reward redelivery. If you still don't have the silver feathers by then, you might need to contact support.

Your recruiter might also need to have an active subscription or you won't get the silver feathers if I read that link correctly.

The first 30 days will definitely give you gold feathers; however, it has to be 30 PURCHASED days, not the 30 days that come with the game.
