In my experience, good players almost never encounter these horrible df attitudes.
It's the bad players who trigger nasty attitudes from people and feel like everyone is nasty in df. Most people who snap at bad players in df aren't neccesarily douches, they could just be stressed out trying to get something done and then have to deal with terrible players.

Before you start saying my attitude is bad after reading this, I helped plenty players who weren't good, but had potential clear things and improve and I never throw a hissy fit in party chat when I'm stuck with terrible players that add 40 minutes to a dungeon run, altho I do get annoyed and vent about it in my static's linkshell.

Nope, a good player will encounter bad players, he/she will just not mention anything and try to finish things asap at least those players are wiping the party every so often.

I know good players encounter bad players. I'm saying good players don't run into bad attitudes telling them to l2p or uninstall because they are already performing really well. Because of this they don't trigger the bad attitudes from other players.

Sorry, but I absolutely disagree with this. Sure, bad attitudes will attract more bad attitude like moths to a flame war, but that doesn't mean that polite, kind and generally well-mannered players don't become the target of random df nastiness.

Perfect example that has happened to me multiple times and still continues to happen.

I queue up and get into my daily Ex Roulette as tank. We all spawn in and the duty starts. I do my quick "Hello" in /p chat; nothing more, nothing less. I immediately get responded to with "stfu and do your job, tank stuff" or something akin to it.

I don't see how my attempt at basic courtesy and acknowledgement of the other people in the group warranted such a response.

Also, sadly that is one of the less horrendous examples of df rudeness I have encountered in this game.

I think my "favorite" instance was dealing with a very rude player back in Lost City when it was new. They were very rude through out the whole run, then after the final boss is down they just sit there and don't roll on the loot. When I ask them to "pls roll on the loot", they say no and continue to go on a long slew of vitriol that involved telling me to " go f**k myself" and that I should " go sit on a <insert image of a very large emoti-penis>".

Actually, this is a GREAT kind of bad attitude to run into. This kind of thing, you can report after the run and be pretty sure that the guy will get a warning or worse.

Much worse are the folks who take shots at the other party members without being explicitly profane, critical without being helpful. "With DPS like this, we're gonna be here a while." "You call yourself a tank? Git gud plz." "Another death. Why am I not surprised?" "Worst. Run. Ever." Folks like this make others in the run feel low and miserable, but since they're being dicks without actually swearing, it's a lot harder for a GM to make a call.
