Mog EX. Because you can FUCKING HIT THOSE LITTLE MOG RGJKBRGBZRGBEI

Best
Levi EX - I just enjoy this one. Always willing to run it and find new ways to cheese the slams.
Bismark EX - The music. I love DnB. I also enjoy it's mechanics. My first clear was also through having to solo tank the last phase. Was an awesome experience.
Garuda EX - This was my introduction to tank swaps. It was love.
Worst:
1 Mog ex. I have serious trust issues with people in this fight. Also, being blamed because everyone didn't want to hurt the other tank's feelings when I preformed flawlessly has put a real stigma on this one for me.
2 Ramuh ex - Again, trust issues. Got better eventually but I held a serious hatred for all DPS during this time. it also just feels like it takes so long.
3 Don't have a third.

I'll stick with the topic title and just do EX primals :P
Top 3:
1) Ravana EX - done it enough times that it doesn't feel that tough anymore, but it's a nice mixture of mechanics, and learning for the first time was great simply because unlike the others it's not that repetitive, just a stream of different mechanics.
2) Bismarck EX - if only for the music! Aside from that though I really enjoy this even though you spend most of the fight beating up Vanu Vanu. All 3 roles are quite fun here.
3) Titan EX - what can I say, for a long its time it was the most intimidating fight in the game. A very claustrophobic platform, constant threat of falling off, tight bomb patterns and sludge puddles...truly a definition of extreme.
Honorable Mention Leviathan - I love the boat tipping mechanic and threat of falling off, but apart from that the other mechanics weren't interesting enough for me.
Bottom 3:
1) Ramuh EX - If only for the amount of bickering it can cause. Naturally team work and restraint play large roles here, with the chaos strikes and rolling thunders - handling the orbs etc, and while it's not hard on paper it just ended up being a massive chore.
2) Moggle Mog EX - It's not bad exactly, the new threats like Delta Attack were pretty cool. A lot of the time this fight just boiled down to the last phase where you need to burn everything super quick, and if you failed you had to go through the lengthy process of restrained DPS over again.
3) Ifrit EX - even when your group knows exactly what to do, this just annoyed me. I just don't like the style of mechanics present, simple as that. Although Searing Wind is pretty cool and different.

I won't seperate Ex and HM because I like/hate them equally.
Favorites (5 because I can't choose 3 :P, no particular order):
- Moogle
- Ramuh
- Ifrit
- Ravana
- Shiva
Worse:
- Titan
- Titan
- Again, Titan xD

Top 3:
1) Ravana EX - Hated it at first, but I've grown to enjoy it as one of my favorites. Great music, the fight isn't too complex nor too easy, and Ravana's a badass. Already have a large number of Hive weapons.
2) Ultima HM - Not an EX, but this fight is immensely underrated. I think its the perfect fight for a new player to get their foot into endgame content. Tanks practice tank swapping, DPS dodge a large number of mechanics while maximizing DPS up time on boss/adds, and Healers have to keep up with the amount of damage going out. (at the time)
3) Titan EX - I have a love/hate relationship with Titan. It took a month to get my Titan EX kill, and I've helped out more people with this fight than I can count. Something about it just draws me back in. Once you learn it, the fight isn't so bad. Learning it? Have fun dying.
Honorable Mention: Bismarck HM/EX. If only for the music, unfortunately the fight is very simplistic, even in EX. Please Square, give us a mount with Phase 2 of Bismarck's theme.
Bottom 3:
1) Garuda HM - Again, not a EX. But screw all those days of light farming this #$%&@!
2) Ifrit EX (as healer) - I'll admit it, I suck at healing this fight. However, DPS who walk into the healing debuff, take unnecessary damage and kill the nails way too fast, or Tanks that forget to swap, don't help. Or if my healing buddy is a derp. I never heal Ifrit EX if I don't know the other healer.
3) Ramuh EX -The music is among my favorites in the game, which is unfortunate. I think its the low success rate I've had with "farm groups" that made me hate this fight, because I can't think of anything else.
Top of the tier
1. Last Gilgamesh one
2. King Thordan
3. Mog EX
Bottom of the barrel
3. Shiva EX (solely, because I find it difficult to see all the mechanics properly due to camera angles and colours)
2. Titan EX - at least with Levi when you are thrown off you can still watch!
1. Steps of Faith - can't stand this one

HMs and anything below don't really interest me as much cause they're basically facerolls at this point. So I only put in EXs.
Favorites
1. Titan EX -- A demanding fight, that's for sure. But one that I love to the point where I'll still queue into it in DF for funsies. I just think it's a very thrilling fight with great background music.
2. Shiva EX -- I really like how they incorporated the 3 different stances and the little bit of RNG into the fight. Made things a bit more interesting. I also just think it's a cool looking arena and the ice aesthetic in the fight is pretty.
3. Ravana EX -- I almost think this primal doesn't feel like a primal because it's very heavy with mechanics. But I did enjoy "dancing to the sound of ringing steel" a lot.
Least Favorites
1. Ramuh EX -- Great idea on paperwork, I think. Not so great in gameplay. I think this was the primal I had the most issues with. People running in to save Terrored party members, then all abandoning to avoid the stacking of lightning rings... people not paying attention to orbs... UGH... Drove me nuts when I was trying to clear.
2. Mog EX -- Honestly, I don't hate the fight itself. I hate when I'm in a group where you tell them, "Look, don't kill one until they all have low HP!" and then you get that one person... always that one person... that decides "lol I'm gonna kill this mog at the very beginning!!"
3. Bismarck EX -- I don't hate this fight as much as I used to. But when people were first clearing it, it was a nightmare. Trying to remember weather patterns, trying to manage that DPS check with 170 weapons and maybe some 160 gear... Yikes. It was a nightmare back then. Nowadays, it's a bit more bearable.

Favorites:
1) Leviathan EX: For the same reasons many people already noted. He's not incredibly gimmicky, nor is he bogged down with with mechanics. He has lethal arena hazards (knocked/slide off) that aren't "cheap" when paired with latency hiccups. That and in the event that you do get knocked-off, you didn't stare at your dead character and floor and wonder what is going on with the rest of the fight.
2) Bismark EX: Love the fight when everything goes smoothly, otherwise its stressful when the whole party isn't up to snuff. The fight requires attention to the environment and you do need to be able to adapt to the changes. The phase 1 music is pretty basic, but I think it suits the atmosphere, but I really like the phase 2 music.
Least Favorites:
1) Ravana EX: As some already pointed out, it's an incredibly scripted fight, and I don't enjoy fights where you are literally dictated where to stand and how to move each and every fight because "that's how the fight designers want you to play." I personally feel like there's no reason why this fight had any business coming after and dropping a higher ilvl weapon than Bismark EX. And since we're bringing music into it as a personal touch; I can't stand Kefka's theme, so I dislike Ravana's phase 1 (am I fighting a badass primal or a clown?) His phase 2's vocals make me cringe and want to pop headphones on.
2) Titan EX: This fight is scripted too... But not nearly as badly as Ravana IMO. But still is another one of those "memorize what comes next to avoid everything" fights, with that lethal latency hiccup-punishing Landslides (I'm sure a lot of people have must have seen his Insta-Landslides at some point). Don't care for the final phase music either. Its not so much the rock mixed with some tribal, just the light-death metal-esque lyrics being guttered out with the repetitive yelling every so often is a turn-off for me.
3) Ifrit EX: "DPS check: the fight. (But not too much DPS)." The whole fight seemed to be an attempt to make the incredibly predictable mechanics difficult by alternating the healers as landmines and adding a tether. And poor Ifrit has (again, in my opinion) the most uninspired theme.

Best: Titan-X. Fast-paced close-quarter combat
Worst: Ramuh-X. Besides the fact that most people are really bad at this fight, no other primal suffers more from ill-timed phase transitions
